Just be patient my dude. Yesterday it looked hopeless with everyone saying Plax was going elsewhere, bidding war for Cromartie, Braylon leaving, other guys signing elsewhere, etc....today it looks like we got exactly the FA period we were hoping for (2 of Holmes, Edwards, Cromartie and a suitable replacement for the one that departed plus an additional upgrade to the team in Heap).

Gradkowski invented the TE position, so naturally the Patriots should get the credit for creating the 2 TE set.

being reported that he is going back to oakland on a cheaper deal... If thats true he wasnt really looking to leave. Besides Heap will be cheaper which is not a bad thing at all for a #2 TE.

Gronkowski? You may get struck by lightning for spelling his name wrong.

You would have to assume that if they limit his play time he shouldn't have an injury issue.

Just use him in redzone offense, where he is most effective (not to say he isn't effective anywhere else, but he's absolute money in the redzone)

He'll be a backup comming in on a cheap deal. So long as the coaching staff doesn't make him the key for the redzone offense, there shouldn't be too much to worry about.

You guys are making it sound like Todd Heap is Chad Pennington.

Yeah, he's had a lot of injuries: big time tight ends get injured. Take a look at Antonio Gates- the dude hasn't been healthy... ever.

Heap missed three starts in the last three seasons. Despite playing only 13 games last season, he hauled in 40 balls for 600 yards and five touches. The last two games he played were playoff games- he caught a touchdown in a loss against the Steelers and caught 10 balls for a 100 yards the game before against the Chiefs.

This guy isn't some fragile liability. Sure, he's not in his prime, but if you're considering Todd Heap a slight upgrade over Ben Hartsock, you're going to be pleasantly surprised.

While this team might not look as good on paper as last years, our redzone woes should be massively improved from last years as well which was a huge weakness.

Greene Keller Heap Plax Tone and a better rested LT (no longer carrying the load I hope) all in the redzone PLUS Tom Moore I mean holy shit. If our Redzone TD efficiency doesnt drastically increase with that, then I dont even know what to tell ya.

Not to mention another year under Sanchez's belt, we could definitely put up alot more points this year thats for sure.

I am saying that if the Jets sign Heap he will be on the field more than you think. He is going to be the primary blocking TE. So yeah his receptions may be limited but his playing time is still going to be elevated. I am just leery..........

redzone kept team sin games against us last year. Some games you felt if they hit the redzone it was FG time. Improve redzone make life easier on the D and put games away early.

Totally forgot about him, supposedly they are very high on him. I think it was Bart that said to, "look out". Then again Bart is a big mouth.
