I wish he would hurry up and click the play button so the press conference can start.

He's talking about Schaub having started games at the NFL level, Leinart having started games at the NFL level, and........TJ Yates?

So to him, Brunell is still an NFL starter? Cool, works for me.

It was embarrassing to watch. They were on their backs half of the time.
Ducasse was worse than just "lost". He looked like he didn't understand what the game of football is. When he got burned at guard, I had in the back of my head "maybe its just because he's out of position". Then he proceeded to stand there like a statue at tackle. He's garbage. Sorry, I have a very tough time believing this "he is still raw" crap...he's never shown even a flash of brilliance, what makes you think he's gonna eventually put it together?

Our starting defense held those fuckers to 24 yards. Sanchez went 6/7. Greene averaged 6.4 yards a carry.

Players that shined (in no order)
    Kyle Wilson, didnt look lost!
    Kendrick Ellis
    Marcus Dixon
    Josh Mauga
    Ropati
Cumberald, 8 catches? Hard to take down, fought for yards
Patrick Turner, great job using his body to shed that defender on the TD
Garrett McIntyre, from the stat line at least

Some garbage of the field tonight. I wont list the names because most i dont know. But i know who Vlad "Turnstyle" Ducasse is.

I really want to see Cumberland continue to play like he did last night. Would be a nice backup pass-catching TE. Dude's a truck.

I like how Houston wanted to win that so much they put their 2 DE's from their 2's back in to 'finish the game'

I guess when you have a horrible franchise any win is wanted.

i dont know folks - pretty brutal all the way around - but thats the first game for u. some decent play out of the younger d-line players. sux for turner - anyone have an update?? quickly saw the play but have seen guys completely blow out the knee/ankle and some guys only get a grade 2 sprain. we'll see.

had to turn off the game early third just couldn't watch anymore. my hi-lite was rex slamming the headsets down on the turf - right there i said if we go 0-4 this preseason its not gonna matter - we wil be ready against dallas.

Imo Cumberland was the biggest positive surprise, and K Ellis looks like a real prospect from what we saw. McElroy didn't show much arm strength, but at times he looked better than Pennington. Mauga, Westerman made contributions, and the starters who played all looked pretty good, including MS. All good.

Negatives start with Ducasse, obviously. I am tempted to write him off and start not talking about him, but not yet. I can't believe the Jets picked him in the second round. WTF???

In the middle imo is Kyle Wilson. He looked better. But not great. I still hope he's on track to play the nickel and not be a liability.

    K.ellis

If he gets his shit together off the field, he looks like a monster out there.
Houston couldnt do anything with him untill they started to double team.

    3 pages, no mention?

I'm sure the fact that the staff knew the OL would perform like a sieve had a part to do
with it, but miracle of miracles, there were more short quick passes in that game last night, than you will find in two years worth of game tapes.

    Gmac looked pretty good.

McElroy will be a viable backup and future starter on a different team 3-4 years down the road.

sub in a traffic cone for vlad next game... at least a d-lineman might trip over that on his way towards annihilating our QB... i really hope he is never on the field when sanchez is ever again.. very scary thought...

besides that im not worried about many other players that should see some time during the season...

somewhat impressed with McElroy, seemed like he got rid of the jitters after the first few series... made some pretty nice plays as the game went on

very impressed with the d-line... love ropati that guy is a monster... we got some nice size for a goal line defense which will come in handy during the season...

also liked what i saw from kerley

    Awesome.

I like the camera guy behind him, he picks up his camera like, "Oh, shit is going down!"
