" Quietly, the most educated football mind not taking checks from an NFL franchise spends a considerable amount of time evaluating players at each position" Funny that.
This is not even written by Greg Cosell. It was written by some idiot at *Gasp!* Bleacher Report. Sheesh, you forced me to waste my time on this garbage. Literally, who gives a flying fuck? I don't?
I'm no green glasses wearing Homer. I think Sanchez has his faults, especially with consistency. I quit reading that POS "article" when he started talking about fake injury bullshit.......not that it was any good before that point.
I am not fully convinced that Sanchez is gonna be a top 10 QB, but that was harsh. Geez, how many QB's start their rookie season after only playing 16 college games. Give the guy a chance.
That part was completely assinine (btw ... did he ever see Jim Brown get up from a hit?) and the last part was laughable. Let me get this straight ... He might have 3 or 4 good games to start the season, but don't let that fool you. Just listen to me because I'm telling you he's not good. What a jackass.
I do think that Sanchez needs to step up big in the red zone and I'm confident he'll continue to grow. I don't think, like many here, that his style of play meshes with Schotty's playcalling so until that factor is removed I don't think we know how many of his struggles are his own or with the plays coming in. Certainly last year after the Baltimore game Sanchez seemed to simplify things and it worked in the Jets favour. Having said that, what many people don't seem to understand outside of Jets circles is the fact that Sanchez doesn't HAVE to be great for the Jets to win is actually a positive. Go ahead and indict Sanchez for not being an elite QB, but the point is that he knows his role. If he doesn't turn the ball over, the Jets win.
