According to a study in The Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111904836104576556852122284540.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_MIDDLE_Video_second#project%3DNFLsymmpathyV420110907%26articleTabs%3Darticle
They also threw in two of the most photographed personalities on any team, the owner and the head coach.
Brad Smith is actually listed as their #3 QB... someone here was in favor of that right? Go root for the Bills!
We had Kerley listed as #3 before picking up Kevin O'Connel. With a number of teams having only 2 QB's on the roster is not unheard of to list a position player as your 3rd QB for now. If they actually have to play Smith as a primary QB they are way ahead in the Luck sweepstakes at tat point.
In the end, a pretty uniform is no reason to keep around a failing franchise. We need 32 teams, for sure. But it just makes no sense to keep a team in Buffalo when there are cities around the country that could actually support an NFL franchise. It really is time to close up shop there and move along to somewhere decent. That's not to excuse a place like Miami, which can't even seem to sell out a friggin' MNF game. These two towns are embarrassments for the AFC East.
I'll assume your joking here. Either that, or our ignorance is showing. Buffalo has and will always be able to support a team. We sell out every game. Research before you talk.
It's sold out officially today. We have smart fans not want to wasting money on a bad product. We get smoked on Monday night (high probability) and we have 3-4 black outs guaranteed. We have too many transplants down here. The majority of football fans down here don't root for the dolphins (its the jets/giants/eagles/patsies since 01/bears in this order)
Fizco!! Dude, follow your boys, won't you? You had one game blacked out last year and another where some restaurant swooped in and bought up enough tickets at the last minute to save the day. It's an embarrassment. But, bad town and lousy product - that's what you get. Must be just depressing for teams that have to travel into Buffalo Having a team in Buffalo does absolutely zilch for the league balance sheet. The NFL would be much better off if it shut down Buffalo and let those fans migrate to one of the two New York teams, or even to Pittsburgh or Cleveland. It's big fat marketing hole, and the way the team sits, ski mobiling will be everyone's Sunday activity come mid-November. You'll have another blackout this year, for sure. And that's a little depressing, when the NFL is otherwise such a great product. Now, is it possible that the Bills could become hot and garner national and local interest? Maybe. Maybe if they decide to tank the season and shoot for Andrew Luck they'll have a chance at something like that in a few years. But it's still not worth it, when you could pick up that franchise and put it in a decent market. It's a sorry state of affairs, and it's a shame that other teams have to make up for what the Bills DON'T bring to the NFL.
I generally support that sort of thinking. But then, Miami adds so much that Buffalo never could. Until someone creates a show called Lake Erie Vice, or good looking women start pushing out the herd of heifers living in the Greater Buffalo area, there's just no comparison which town has it worse.
They farm a game out to Toronto every year because the tickets are in such demand???? As a Pats fan, I can say that a road trip to Buffalo (We go every year when they play before the end of October) is less expensive than a home game at Gillette. Really good tickets are always available, and way cheaper than Gillette or New Jersey. We also bring the golf clubs because there really isn't anything else to do up there.
