In a non-keeper money league with traditional scoring I am debating making some trade offers and want to see what I should ask for. I have Rodgers and Stafford, I was thinking on offering Stafford for either

    Fitzpatrick and Andre Johnson

    or

    Josh freeman and Roddy White

    or

Vick and Greg Jennings (vick is hurt with broken hand)

Here is my team for reference.

    Aaron Rodgers (GB - QB)
    Mike Williams (TB - WR)
    Brandon Marshall (Mia - WR)P
    Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac - RB)
    Jahvid Best (Det - RB)
    Dustin Keller (NYJ - TE)
    LeGarrette Blount (TB - RB)
    Cedric Benson (Cin - RB)
    Julio Jones (Atl - WR)
    Matthew Stafford (Det - QB)
    Jordy Nelson (GB - WR)
    Eric Decker (Den - WR)

If you make any of those trades I would be happy to join your league next year.

If I am giving up Roddy White, Andre Johnson, or Michael Vick I would be asking for Rodgers, not Stafford.

Even with Rodgers the only trade you might make is Freeman / White, only because Freeman is not an elite talent.

What about stafford don't you like?

Also the guys I am making the offers too all have big QB issues.

The one with fitz - lost Peyton M., The guy with Freeman has Big Ben as his starter. and Vick just got hurt.

I like Stafford a lot but Aaron Rodgers is the # 1 QB in the NFL IMHO.

The problem is not Stafford but what you are asking for in return.

Most of the packages you are asking for most likely included the player that those teams drafted at the top of round one or the bottom of round two. On top of that you are also asking for a second player that could be drafted in the top three rounds next year (or Michael freaking Vick).

Stafford on the other hand is a guy that you drafted in round three or four that was considered a huge injury risk before the season started.

While QBs tend to put up the most points (making these trades appear more even) you are basically offering one guy who is sitting on your bench (earning you no points) for another team's two best players.

If the roles were reversed, would you give up those guys for Stafford?

Rodgers on the other hand was probably one of your first two picks and has a longer history of staying healthy. You still may not get them to say yes but they will at least think about it.

    --------------------------
I would appreciate any advice you have on my trade thread.

    Thanks in advance.

I agree with Hasty. Something is wrong with your league if any of those trades go through. Fitzpatrick and Stafford are of similar value right now.
