I think any concern (not panic) is exacerbated by the fact that we are playing 2 teams, both believed to be better than Oakland, on the road the next two weeks. Losing to Oakland, our current injury situation, and most importantly, the way we played on Sunday is just cause for concern. I agree with Jetfanmack. We need to go forward from the past 2 years. Anything less than the SB will now be a big disappointment. Not saying we won't get there, but right now, we are not playing like SB contenders.
Please clear up roughing the passer? The Raiders were backed up in their own endzone, and it was 3rd down I believe. Wilkerson got pressure, and pushed Campbell after he threw the ball. Which drew a roughing the passer penalty. I snapped after that call, but that is besides the point. On 3 different occasions that I can remember, Sanchez was hit in the head with a hand. When they thought he broke his nose When they tried tearing his helmet off on a sack When he was *tripped up* before his 2nd TD run I am not trying to say why this is why we lost, or didn't lose. I am genuinely asking how they can call that one on Wilkerson, but not any of the ones on Sanchez. Only 1 game, and not at our best. edit: This was supposed to be a new thread?
The problem is fans feel they have to go 14-2 just to have a chance at the Superbowl. Expectations are way too high.
We were a team that the Offense, Defense and Specials teams had to play good for us to win. Now we're a team that the Offense, Defense and Specials teams has to play bad for us to lose. We'll play better.
The Pats loss was huge for us. It means the Ravens game is not a must game. If we lose to the Ravens and the Pats beat the Raiders, and then we beat the Pats the following week, we are both 3-2. I am not worried about the Bills, they will come crashing back to earth. I am not saying we can't beat the Ravens, just saying we a little wiggle room thanks to the Bills. We are 2-1 and its only week 4. They way we lost has to be a wakeup call, this team has to much pride. Who knows, maybe the Pats will lose to the Raiders
I know I always feel better once #1 Pats Fan comes to the forum with the wisdom of Lombardi. Thanks for that.
In case you haven't looked over the JETS schedule, we face a lot of VERY GOOD TEAMS. Its a 16 game season and every single game counts. There's a huge difference being 3-0 going on the road to Baltimore and being 2-1. I don't know about you, but I'd rather be 3-0 facing Baltimore.
I'm not panicking yet, but if we lose the next two road games, then Rex needs to do something about it
It hurt when I pentilies, but then I chill and I be fine. Thankx. We 2-1. You correct. Rex gonna figa shit out and we be tyght and fuck up Baltimo's shit. YO!
I agree with #1JF, people totally need to chill people people. We are be just fine so people chill people. Sometime U people have tendency to overreact.
