The next few weeks will decide everything. Hopefully the jets can give the bills their regular beat down when we play and everything can go back to normal.
Regular beatdown? uhm... The Jets have beaten the Bills by 10 or more points TWICE in the past TEN games. It's the most recent games, but it's certainly not regular.
The Bills lead the series with the Jets 53-47. I certainly hope everything gets back to normal too.......
Shouldn't these guys be on PatsFans talking smack to them? Did anyone here go to Bills forums to talk about when the Jets beat the Patriots?
I work with a diehard Lions fan. He's prancing around the office like the Lions won the Super Bowl this past weekend. You'd think the Bills and Lions fans have never been 3-0 before.
exactly. The bills were 5-0 with Trent Edwards a few years ago. I don't know why anyone expects the AFC East to bow down to a team that has been perennial dogshit for a decade after having quite a month. That's not how the NFL works. Good job on going 3-0, Bills. Now prove yourself for the whole season.
Ummm, the Bills were 4-0 in 2008 against 4 teams that finished with about 16 wins among them. In case you didn't hear, the Bills sent Dick "Play Not To Lose By Too Much" Jauron packing two seasons ago, and then did the same to his Trent "Throw a Check Down on 4th and 15" Edwards last season. Things have been looking up in B-lo ever since.
So by "ever since" you must mean "ever since (excluding everything except for the past three games)"? Either that or last year's 4-12 season was some sort of high point? Please enlighten me.
Nope. Even last season when the Bills were suffering through 0-8, things were better because they were playing to win not to not lose by too much. The Bills went 4-4 in the last 8 games last season and lost three heart breakers: KC, Pitt, and Baltimore. Jauron was a total asshat. You cannot imagine the torture of being a fan and watching one of his teams play a season. His two biggest gems: 12-9 loss to San Francisco at home in 2008 and 6-3 loss to the Browns at home in 2009. Smurfs on defense getting dragged downfield by medium-sized RBs. Edwards checking down when it's 4th and 27 with time running out. Better to get smacked 38-3 trying to win than lose 6-3 to the f'en Brownies!!! Jauron managed to repeatedly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory -- in the most boring way possible!
Actually, it was 4-0 and 5-1, but I see your point. Trent wasn't winning games, he just wasn't losing them. It's a different feel this year, and if they do crap the bed, then I'll be fooled as I have been since I can't remember. I'm sure the Bills will stumble, and the Jets and Patriots now have them squarely on their radar. It makes for a great divisional race, especially since Miami is behind everyone cleaning the gutters.
They started 0-8 and finished 4-4 to go 4-12. Once the Bills were 0-8, I was just looking for improvement, being that the season was more than likely lost. Since being 0-8, the Bills are 7-4. Getting rid of the dead wood is very heartwarming to watch. Look at the former Bills players and their impact on their new teams, by and large, they aren't doing much.
