I have Romo on a bye and currently McNabb as a backup (picked him up cause of a favorable matchup against Arizona), and really there isn't much else out there on the wire. The only starting QB's left on the wire who are playing this week are Tavaris Jackson, Blaine Gabbert and the Colt QB's (Painter/Collins). Should I just get Painter instead, since he looked like he at least have a pulse and has a favorable matchup himself this week - assuming he plays?
Painter at home against the Chiefs would be a good pick up. He was my sleeper pick last week against at Tampa Bay. I wouldn't expect fireworks, but a solid 250 plus and a couple TDs, which should be better than McNabb manages in a run first offense.
Well Andy Dalton just got waiver-wired, for what that's worth. At least he's got a favorable matchup but I'm not sure how much I like him either. As far as Painter, I'd rather wait till he's officially named the starter to pick him up, but the Colts are almost as secretive as the Pats so that could be a problem. lol I do have a pretty good rest of my team (and no important byes elsewhere) with McFadden-MJD-Beanie-Wallace and Santonio as my RB/WR starters plus Gronkowski, Folk and the Bears D as my other starters. But yeah it's a handicap this week for sure.
