if you watch JETS games you will see the receivers have a very hard time getting open. Not just in this game but all season. Sanchez waits sometimes, waitinf for the receivers to get open, especially if we are down 2 scores because we need a big play through the air.
no separation with the receivers, no outlets for some reason. Seems like if Schotty isn't calling a planned 3 step out for 4 yards his plays have limited windows for success. Need a new OC -- who got fired this season that was a good OC before becoming a HC??
SD might hire another Schotty. Cool if that happens just as long as we grab Norv (assuming SD flops again and Norv gets fired).
Like I said before we need a very good backup QB to give Sanchez the green light to rush the ball more. He proved today that its something he can exceed in.
did someone say norv turner? oh wow thats like going from the frying pan into the fryer. i would be incensed if norv turner came to the jets in any form or fashion.
Sanchez holds the ball too long, get rid of it. Sanchez gets rid of the ball , his internal clock must be screwed and needs a fix.
Only logic that flawed could be developed by the breeding between those of a severely detached NY fanbase over the span of decades.
Brady gets talked about because of Giselle and his pretty boy image. But at least he puts in the work and seems to get better every year. There really isn't a single area of improvement you can point to for Sanchez between year one and now. He's still a 50-55% passer. He still locks in on his primary receiver. He still throws dumpoffs with the same velocity as a sideline dart. His footwork hasn't improved. Whether this is on the coaches or the fact that our QB cares more about supermodels than football, I do not know.
yes ... taking the sack was O'Brien's specialty. Richard Todd's specialty was the 9 yard completion on 3rd and 10. it appear's that Sanchez's specialty is fumbling
Whoever says our Wrs are not open is clueless. I saw plenty times when if coverage was read appropriately, and our qb was smart we had opportunities.. The problem with Sanchez is he's too apprehensive and he thinks way too much. We'd have one that game with Kyle Orton at qb yesterday. There at LEAST 25 qbs better then Sanchez , two of them are rookies.
they are usually not open. From watching the game yesterday, the majority of the time the receiver weren't even looking for the ball, turned around to slow, RAN THE WRONG ROUTES, let the ball bounce off their helmets, and just flat out struggled to get open. When I do see a Jet player who is wide open, its usually the RB and on 3rd down, but he is always 5-7 yards away from the first down marker so I dont think that would help much.
You're like the anti-Noam, no matter what Sanchez does it's someone else's fault. What can't be debated is that the Jets have one of if not the least explosive offense in the league and have had virtually no long plays all season long. Now some of this is on the receivers and some of it is on the OL but a big part of it is on Sanchez. He misses wide open guys badly(McKnight yesterday) and on a lot of his completions he takes away YAC opportunities with his inaccurate passes making guys jump/dive etc to just catch the ball. I'm not sure I've seen anyone worse at throwing screens/short passes either. When its LT with his great hands he can usually make up for the awful throws but how many times have we seen Greene with his poor hands drop shitty throws from 2 yards away because he had to twist around to try to catch it and cost the Jets big gains.
because I dont see why I should bash a young developing QB. I'll give him another year and if he doesnt improved, well then ill join the "off with his head" crowd." But right now, all the bitching threads, espeically after a Jets lost is getting older than me siding with Sanchez. And yes, he missed McKnight badly. That was a throw he should of made because it looked like he had one man to beat if he would of caught it. I somewhat agree with the rest but lets be real here, perfect or no perfect pass, Greene has stone hands. Sanchez threw it to him perfectly yesterday, wide open and he dropped it yet again.
Greene can't catch, no doubt about that. Keller does not have very good hands either. But when you've got a wildly inaccurate QB like Sanchez it just compounds the issue. It's kind of ironic that Braylon did so well with Sanchez here since the knock on him was his drops. Of course more specifically it was that he made the spectacular catch but botched the easier ones. And there were really not that many easy ones with Sanchez, except that Buffalo game where the wide open TD pass hit him in the facemask.
Norv will not work for Rex (remember the fiasco the week of the SD game?) Andy Reid, if fired, will get another HC job Haley is a possibilty, but was he that good an OC?
We probably won't, but we can. It is a distinct possibility. And If we make the playoffs, we therefore should make the playoffs.
