I'm still on the fense about Greene. He's been solid for the most part this season however I was expecting a little better production.

At the very least we need a RB to replace LT.
I say improve the O-Line, pick up a situational backup pass catching RB, and wait til next year to make a judgement on Greene.
We have too many pressing needs to go RB early in the draft.

NEVER sign a high dollar FA runner, they are too replaceable. How many years have we seen some undrafted rookie or low round rookie bust a hole in the league and rush for 1200-1500 out of nowhere? And how many times do you see some dumbass team break the bank for the sure thing flavor of the year rusher only to see that guy injured for half the season?

We have more important areas we need to spend the money on, i.e. RIGHT TACKLE.

I agree. We can fill this need in the draft. Greene was a great pick ( I remember his college days running all over Penn State). He needs someone to help him carry the load. (Jones and Greene) (Tomlinson and Greene) ( ? and Greene)

    Powell hasn't proven shit.

Powell is the enigma. Although, aside from running over a weak Raiders run defense in 2009, what exactly had Greene proven in his rookie season up to this point?

I had a feeling that they were saving Powell's legs for this postseason much like they did with Greene in 2009, but if they did, they saved them for nothing.

  7. Team needs an all purpose big play guy, whether it be a receiver,TE or a running back.

Chances are Tannebaum fills the main needs via Free agency and goes into the draft thinking BPA. There's a good chance a skill player be it at RB,WR or TE could be the best option at our pick.

fix the line first. great line + average rb > average line + great rb.

that being said, our rb corp is quite lackluster for a ground and pound team. excluding the broncos, the teams that lead the league in rushing have stud rbs. texans, panthers, vikes, eagles, raiders, etc.

i know we have needs elsewhere, but i would not be opposed to spending a high pick on a rb.

greene isn't bad but i think we can all agree he's not elite. he would probably be better as the latter part of a rbbc.

In order for this offense to work we need consistency at the RB position a good back can make up for other areas of need I want Trent Richardson he is a load for defenses to handle and would make playaction an actual threat again.

we were very lucky to be able acquire RBs the caliber of Martin and Jones in the past. I find it mind boggling that this organization hasn't been able to draft a top tier RB in 30 years (Freeman McNeil in 81) ... but for the most part it hasn't killed our running game.

Personally, I think we'll be OK with Greene, and hopefully Powell, as long as we sure up the O line. With that said, our big-play potential at RB seemed to die the day Leon went down. I really miss seeing him take a simple pitch and scoot downfield for 20 yards.
