Well, that Mike Bell guy does have 3rd round type talent. That's where I thought he'd be drafted. He went undrafted because of a minor injury and a minor character issue.

It wasn't a big enough problem otherwise the Bengals would have scooped him up

Yeah, he didn't grade out quite high enough in the psycho category for Cincinnati's liking.

Bell is another system RB, i.e. Derrick Blaylock.

Sounds like you are talking about Tatum.

Mike is the Bell I prefer.

Tatum is a home run hitter, he gets granted that. However, play-to-play he's just not consistent. He should get only 10-15 carries a game. I wouldn't be comfortable with him being counted on to get 300 carries a year.

I like Tatum Bell. I certainly think he is good enough be a starting back in the league, and be better than alot of the guys that currently start. I would like to have him in green and white. That said, I still think the guys we have can carry the load.

I would'nt even bother. I would be pissed if we traded or signed a guy just for a year. Turner could be our back for the next couple years so I'd be ok with it. Why sign another back up type RB. We got 3 already

Tatum had the type of season he had because of the line he played behind. In my opinion, Houston could put up the same numbers behind that line.

    Basically, Turner or bust.....

Honestly, how is Artose f'n Pinner an upgrade over our 3 rbs??? He wouldn't make the roster IMO

Tatum Bell, I guess i would take for a very low draft choice, I like his big play ability, but he would be like Leon Washington, not an every down back

And because carries were split with that bruiser Mike Anderson. Tatum Bell, to be most effective, probably has to be in a situation like that.

Personaly I think we should have more faith in Blaylock and Houston ... But if we have to look elsewhere, I'd look at Chris Brown

Artose Pinner? Marcel Shipp !?!?! Weren't we supposed to trade for an upgrade at the position? I hope Rock has some bad sources, b/c these guys are pretty average. At least tatum has some upside....

    exactly

its Turner or bust for me.

I have faith Washington will be able to rip off big plays once in a while as a role player.

Then we still have to see what we have with Houston and Blaylock. My guess is Blaylock is Washington with less speed and more vision due to his experience.
And Houston I think has potential to be an everydown guy. Good push, pretty quick especially after shedding some poiunds.

IMO Turner is at least 2nd rd talent. with ALOT of potential. pony up one of our extra 2nd rders.

if not dont deal out depth picks (ie 3rd-5th rd picks) for some schlub veteran, and lets see what we have in our own stable before looking for other horses.

If the Jets do make a trade for a running back, the only one I would want would be M Turner.

Otherwise, let us use the young guys we have, and see what they've got. I really liked what i saw in Cedric Houston last year, and from everything I've read he has improved. Leon Washington, seems exciting, but can't be an everydown back (thus we do RBBC). Now for Blaylock, i agree that he was a product of the system in KC. In his limited actoin last season, he didnt do anything to win me over.

Tatum Bell isn't an everydown back, he would be just like Blaylock for us. I don't know much about Pinner so i'm not going to give me speculation on him.
