omg people on this board drive me crazy. its the first friggin game of the preseason and u make judgements like everything you saw tonight was what is going to happen the next 19 games of the season. give me a break! and second of all, instead of picking apart what went wrong, look at what happened right. i thought the offense clicked really well converting the first 3 3rd downs, and moving the ball twice down the field into tampa bay territory almost effortlessly. and another thing we SUCKED at last year- TIME OF POSSESION! our first team dominted theirs in time of possesion. i thought the offense looked REALLY good for the first time out. and yeah, for those of u who b*tch that its all short passes, yeah ur right. the jets have been focusing on the short passing game this entire camp so far. schottenheimer has said that he hasnt opened up the playbook all the way just yet. he wants to see them master the short passing game, and chad looked really efficient tonight. alltogether, a loss doesnt matter in the preseason, i saw alot of good things, and a few negatives obviously(the run defense made me nervous) but those things are for mangini to critique and not us. i have full faith that mangini will continue to tweak the offense and defense enough so that we're a well oiled machine come tennessee...stay positive!

You'll get plenty of complaining and plenty of threads complaining about complaining the rest of the year. It's going to be a long season. But how can you take much of anything out of the game? The key to the game was Pennington being able to take a hit.
