Would you like some sticky tape? How about some chewing gum stuck to the palms of your hands? How about 2 of those huge foam hands and fingers that they sell to the fans? You didn't do much to distinguish yourself last night- and that includes dropping TWO very catchable passes which were pretty much between the numbers.
Hey Victor Hobson, remember that pre-season game you played? me neither... and nor will this guy in 2 days zzzzz
oh,ok,...all of a sudden, magically, he has good hands in the regular season?.uumm,nope!..sorry,but what we see is what we get.....an unspectacular,non-playmaker. put him on the list of all the other non-playmakers. at least we have J.Abe....oops.... the writings on the wall this year.....frustrating,boring football, dinking and dunking,....lousy football----till next year when we draft a few good skill postion players. until then,i'll just take a stroke count on the number of "i love ben graham" posts there are during the season.........because there won't be much else to rave about.
Well if you thought this season was gonna be filled with spectacular mind blowing Jets football, you have obviously been standing in the sunshine way to long. I don't know what you were expecting? This is a rebuilding year for crying out loud..And pre-season at that....
Hey Victor Hobson? Remember those 2 drops between the numbers? No? Mangini does... Point being, nobody is sacred this year- don't be surprised to see an incumbent like Hobson, staying on his present course, lose his job to a guy like Johnson or even, gasp, Thomas, if they step up their games to the next level. Go back to your snoring...
Actually, I though Hobson played OK, other than the two drops. Koz, you should know better.... Chatham s playing OLB on that side behind Hobson. Thomas and Johnson are on the weak side.
Hey, I'm going to TC on Monday. Wanna meet me there so you can say that to Hobson in person? I'd like to see that.... on the other hand, I don't want to see Hobson get arrested. Nevermind....
I will give it to you, Hobson should not have dropped those two balls. However, he was back in coverage, think it was just coincidense that the ball hit him in the chest? He read the QB and got himself in position to make a play and to at least knock the ball. down. And thats fine by me.
Am I the only one that thought (after the second drop) "Damn, this poor guy is going to have the jugs machine aimed at his head during every practice from now until the season starts." ???
It's going to be a long season reading these threads, given the realization on how many post crying the blues after only one pre-season game. The FFOJ ( The Fickle Fans of the Jets) are in mid season form!
Listen, if you participated in the forums a little more than I think you have, you'd know that I'm not a poster crying foul. Rather, it was an observation? Get it? An observation that yes, he dropped two balls, and no, it wasn't the end of the world by any stretch of the imagination. The point of the post- that nobody is getting a pass this year, and that if you slip up enough, you're going to ride the pine. If you and the rest of the Einsteins weren't quick enough to pick up on that maybe I'll just speak slower the next time. Think before you speak, especially with your "post crying the blues" comments. My life certainly doesn't revolve around a football game, or the fact that a player dropped two passes which went his way in a preseason game. Are we now on the same page??
