No way we fuckin think Wayne Cunter is going to start at RT for us, right?

Winston is a solid RT that can help a ton.

We think Ducasse is gonna start @ RT.

Because the FO wants it badly

already have money and a 2nd round draft pick devoted to Hunter/Vlad. The FO wants Vlad to develop into a quality starting RT and apparently believes he has the potential to do so.

Also, Winston will require a good amount of money and the Jets have several pressing needs. The smartest thing for the Jets to do is to sign as many relatively cheap, quality players as possible.

Besides Right Tackle, the Jets need 2 safeties, a deep threat WR, probably another RB, an OLB, possibly an ILB, and a legit backup quarterback. That's a lot.

Schefter reporting Henne to visit the Jags, not the Jets, because he feels he can compete for the starting spot there. Sanchez new contract will scare off QB's that want to compete for a starting job.

I would prefer Kyle Orton as a backup SO MUCH MORE than Henne. But I'm thinking he will probably go to a place where he thinks he can start.

And Henne is likely to get $4/5m a year which is way too much for a back-up QB

He doesn't fit Sparano's man blocking scheme.

If we still had Callahan he'd be a perfect fit. But we don't and he isn't. End of story.

Tanny isn't going to break the bank to fit a square peg in a round hole.

    No Me Gusta Henne.

I would like a solid backup QB at the right price, if that can't be done then like McElroy be the number 2. Dude is a solid QB and very smart.

Based on the 10 reps he got in preseason? We have no clue what McElroy is.

Based on his college career and his wonderlic test. I agree, he is not ready and we certainly need a viable backup but I would rather have McElroy than an overpaid insurance policy (Henne/Campbell). If we can get someone at the right price then by all means, we have a lot of needs in starters to overpay...
