Now that the Seahawks have Alexander locked up long term, gotta think Maurice Morris would be available. Hes in a class where wed probably have to give up a 2 or a 3 to get him, but hes a legit back, very little as far as injury history, young guy, and a definete notch above anything weve got. Yknow how half the teams in the league think their backups are so good theyd be a starter anyplace else? (Michael Turner, Deshaun Foster a year ago, Lamont Jordan two years ago, etc. etc.) This is one of those types. Is he as good as the Seahawks and their fans probably will tell you? No, but he was picked at the top of round 2 and hes played well in limited action since he was drafted, so hes definetely worth asking about. Sadly the Seahawks dont have much of a need at corner, so Strait is im sure not enough.
Maurice Morris has been playing behind an amazing oline his entire career and is yet to impress me... I wonder how he'd fare behind our swiss cheese offensive line?
Now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind having Deshawn Foster either. Of course, he's like Suggs in that he can't seem to stay healthy, but what an awesome open-field runner this guy is...I wonder if the Panthers are willing to do something with him now that they have their new RB? Hmmm... (Is this how all these internet rumors get started?)
considering he might be the starter even w/ deangelo i doubt that...i think stephen davis/goins would be the only attainable back from carolina
How about Stephen Davis? He is a free agent. I know he is old but not any older then curtis. He isnt the future but could be a quick fix for this year
Maybe we can get Freeman McNeil to come back for a tryout. Or maybe Jim Brown when he's done mentoring Maurice Clarrett.. :rofl2:
I saw TJ Duckett the ball, he can tuck it and keep on truckin it a trade, we may even work it ...but tonight, I'm out of luck. It seems I should put my head in a bucket no more RB threads, this one you can pluck it I'm going to BS now, and say **** it.
