When was this thread "railed", per se? The first response included...

Derailment of what? Should we be discussing how Tim Tebow blessed Bubba Watson and caused him to win the Masters? If you weren't such a joke of a football fan, you wouldn't get the responses you do. You suck, dude.

the best SEC insult IMO is LSU fans smell like corn dogs, though even as a Gator grad "UF fans wear jean shorts" is still hilariously true. The aren't suposed to be polite! Mathletes chosen for aesthetic reasons.(sounds better that grammarletes)

What kind of responses is the OP looking for in making this thread? Do you want us all to participate in the Tebow circle jerk that you seem to be the ring leader for?

I just figured I should respond to "mathletes" for correctness. Outside of sports (more specifically, college football, college basketball, and the college world series) SEC insults are so far out of sight... Outside of being in the same conference Vandy is incomparable to all other SEC schools (other than the fact that we all have human students, are co-educational, and all have Greek systems).

true, you guys are kind of the red headed stepchild of the conference....we do appreciate your class, even if we don't/can't always reciprocate

It doesn't matter, I'd rather try to get it back on topic.

I personally find it pretty crazy that an otherwise pretty low key golf player like Bubba, who wouldn't otherwise get the same exposure won the Masters one week before this golf tournament would win the Masters making him the most talked about athlete in the Golf world, both in the USA, and internationally.

The list of celebrities other than Tebow that had signed up for this was a relatively low key. Thanks to this happening, it will certainly help draw a lot of publicity for this great cause around the world raising a lot more money which will help out and affect a lot of lives world wide.

And it also just so happens Bubba is a very religious and shares the same religious attitude and perspective on sports and life as Tim Tebow.

It was also pretty strange for those that actually watched the tournament how the sudden death rounds happened, where Louis Oosthuizen had the tournament in his hand 3 times in a row only to repeatedly miss some pretty easy puts 3 times in a row and shank his drives after Bubba shanked his and Bubba hit what many would have described as a "miracle" shot.

Thankfully the golf world and fans are a bit ahead to football fans when it comes to understanding their sport and realize Bubba's shot was actually thanks to his unconventional style, that had little to do with luck, and more to do with him repeatedly practicing a zillion swings through his career and getting better at his unconventional style which he's been using ever since he starter playing the sport. And there's also no defense to credit in golf.

His golf motion has been criticized to death too. His swing was "all wrong and flawed" too and believed to be not good enough to be a consistent winner in golf.

But I know, things like this happen all the time. I'm just a homer:rolleyes:

It does matter because you're full of crap. You readily deflect or ignore comments that you can't defend yourself against because you're obsessed with being "correct".

Also, you can't get "back on topic" when the thread itself was never "on topic".

Most importantly, why did you sensationally include two names (Lebron and Lin) in the thread title without expecting negative attention and criticism of your intentions? Some Tebots never learn... :breakdance:

Vandy doesn't deserve respect from a sports-standpoint. We do, however, deserve credit for sticking to tradition (SEC since '32!). If anyone belongs in the Conference USA it's USC, because, after all, the Gamecocks men's soccer competes in C-USA

Because I keep up with news.

And this is yet another one of the many people that have been sensational to end up making Tebow news bigger than it already was.

I gave you a response. You don't keep up with the news or you would not be asking that question.

As an alum, I honestly didn't know USC had a soccer program haha. Of course my recollection may be skewed from all the brown liquor I consumed down there...

Southerners get a bad rap nationally sometimes but I have to say from my brief period as a carpetbagger that y'all produce the very best in women, liquor, food and football... Since those are about the most important things in life I have to say the South rules.

Why would a self-professed atheist even care about this part? Are you starting to see why nobody takes you seriously?

Homers are people who will give a one-sided argument for a team, typically because that team resides where they live or are from, hence the 'home' in 'homer'.

You root for two teams and I would gamble that you neither live in nor are from New England or North Carolina, and you follow one player from team to team like he's the Justin Beiber of football.

You're definitely not a homer, though.

Well then why are you asking?

When was the last time an athlete that didn't murder or rape someone dominated the news for this long in the off-season and constantly seems to coincidentally, and in this particular case, completely unintentional find himself in the middle of the biggest of sports stories repeatedly, months apart?
