We should all expect a learing curve for Hill and temper our expectations, at least early in the season. But I love his attitude; kid seems to really want it. He wil feel right at home when we have Tebow in there.
12 hours a day studying the play book sounds like quite a bit. That sounds like someone who wants it bad to me. As a side note, I expect Thomas to explode this year with Manning at QB. May be a good fantasy pickup in the mid rounds.
why not, There will be formations when Tebow is the QB and it will be essential for our WR to either Block (allowing the edge to be set) as well as a reciever who can get Deep (so we can fake run action for a one on one deep ball). Stevie Hill is the ideal reciever (like Thomas) for Tebow. Can he develope into a conventional reciever; Yes but it will take time.
C'mon guys you know they just drafted him for Tebow...he comes from the Georgia Tech option and is already used to the QB not throwing him the ball.
The article makes it seem like teams dont put 8 in the box against the Jets. Or i just stopped reading too early.
Fail on fail on fail? But no seriously, wasn't tryin to be funny. It was more a function of me trying to read this board more these days but being annoyed by this sudden influx of moronic Bills fans. You sign one high end FA and act like you didn't get swept last year or have the longest playoff drought in the whole friggin league. Bills fans, hang your heads in shame.
Its the same shit year after year with you guys; Hey I'm an Orioles fan so I get it. I have learned to temper my expectations considering the Orioles play the Yankees and Sox more than any other team in MLB. With that said, I think even you cooter may be smart enough to make the correlation between the Orioles and the Buffalo Bills (drought of playoff appearances aside). I appreciate your excitement, but please bring a dose of reality to your expectations. How do the Bills plan on scoring this year? Their line is more questionable than the Jets; aside from Stevie Johnson and Fred Jackson who strikes fear in opposing defenses? The back end of your defense is extremely suspect. And the bills need to learn how to win. I give you a 7-9 season (5 losses in the division alone).
The Hill pick is probably the most excited I've been about a draft pick in quite some time. I think he's perfect for this team. Has the speed to go up top and open up inside passing lanes, and I think he'll actually help Kerley a lot out of the slot because of it.
While I don't condone Cooter's troll-type drivel which only serves to try and piss people off, I do disagree with your assessment of the team. I also dont want to hijack this thread because it has nothing to do with the Bills, but if you want to continue the discussion in a couple Bills threads going on in the other NFL thread, there is a pretty good discussion over there. As far as the o-line, I honestly dont know where you're getting your info from. The Bills had one of the best lines in football last year and only got better in the offseason by adding more depth and getting injured starters back. Numerous analysts continue to rate the Bills line as one of the best in the league for the upcoming year. This has been discussed at length in the other threads. As far as the back end, do you mean secondary as a whole, or just safeties? If you mean the safeties, Byrd and Wilson are two of the better players at their position in the league. We added a top 10 pick at corner to a secondary with Aaron Williams, Terrence McGee and Leodis McKelvin. Extremely suspect? Even if I follow your logic, both the Bills line and the back end of their secondary are better than the Jets, so if that causes an effect on our record, what does it mean for the Jets?
Just clarifying here...so you think you have a better secondary than us? or by "back end", do you mean you have better safeties than us? I'm sorry but "bills and "better secondary" just doesn't compute in my head. And by line, exactly what do you mean, exactly? Better Linebackers? or defensive linemen? or O-line? I hope you mean O-line.
