If Johnson can't be productive with Tom friggin Brady throwing to him, how is he supposed to succeed with a Moore, Tannehill and a bunch of newbs.

There were much better options to throw to in NE

Just because he can't get on the field ahead of Welker, Branch, Gronk, Hernandez doesn't mean he can't beat out Brian Hartline and Clyde Gates

Well, I guess if there is any time for optimism, the off-season is it. So I'm curious, how do you think they're gonna do this year, and what do you think needs to happen for them to become a consistently successful team?

    Good questions.

As for this year, it all rides on the QB play. I think we will win between 5-8 games. I see Oakland, Arizona, STL,Indy, Tennessee, Seattle, Jax, Buff x2 all as games we should be competitive in. And we always play the Jets well so we could win one of those as well. We had a solid draft and did not lose any key free agents so I think we should at least be able to maintain what we did last year. If you put a gun to my head I would say we go 7-9.

As for what we need to do to become a consistently, successful team, obviously the most important thing is to acquire and properly develop a QB. I think we should draft one every year until we get the guy who can win games. Along with that goes stable coaching and good drafting.

Any faith in Tannehill? Or as a fan do you think they reached on him?

I'm guessing you saw this but I thought it was interesting:

I actually have been against us drafting Tannehill since his hype train started picking up steam during the season. I wanted Matt Flynn.

However, Philbin knew Matt Flynn and Sherman knew Tannehill better than anybody so if they were confident in their choice then they know more than I do.

After hearing numerous draft experts suggest that he would have gone ahead of Gabbert, Locker, and Ponder if he had been in the same draft class I have warmed to the pick.

And no, I didn't see that article so thanks for that.

The physical size/skills are damn near intoxicating... I didn't realize Tannehill was that big.

Having Ochocinco around will be entertaining for you guys, at the very least. He kept relatively quiet in NE but still showed up in the news every now and then. I've always liked him so I hope he can figure out your offense!

BeastBeach - NE did have better options to throw to but when he was given a chance he failed.

I was unaware of this. Drops? What was it?

There is a lot to be said for chemistry and if he could not develop chemistry with Brady because he was rarely on the field, then that could cause problems.

One develops chemistry with Brady by being where you're suppose to and lining up correctly. That was something he could never do in this offense. Maybe it will be different in Miami
