I'd really like to follow the commissioner around for a day and see exactly what he does, especially how many decisions he has to make on a daily basis.

I think overall he has done a GREAT job, my only complaint would be the Thursday Night games, flex scheduling, no matter late season sat afternoon games and later starting playoff games.

The games you mentioned are all about the almighty $. I'm sure the networks had a great deal to say about the schedule.

Why do the Thursday night games bother you? I think it's great that we get to see more games during the week.

I don't mind one here and there but now for 17 weeks? it's silly especially since it's on NFL Network and so many peope don't get NFLN. Games should be Sun & Mon except late in the year w/ sat games.

I agree with the Saturday games, but I love that they are showing games every Thursday. I'm sorry you don't have NFLN - that sucks.

even if I had it(I hate not having it) I probably wouldn't watch many games. I don't watch Sun or Mon Night games either, I have to get up early for work and I'm not missing sleep unless it's the jets or a huge game that affects the Jets.

Oh. It doesn't sound like the Thurs. games really affect you then (Unless its an NYJ game)

Went down the middle with him. I feel like he was late on player safety and now is trying to fix they ears they ignored or didn't feel it was important. I think some rules for safety have not been made for all positions, only for the "glamour" positions like QB and WR.

He has done a lot of good things though. Only Thursday football should be Thanksgiving in my opinion.

I like the Thursday night games because it gives me another opportunity to see a Jets game every now and then.

He's doing a horrible job. He picks favorites. He abuses his power. He's inconsistent.
I hate the overseas games (sorry to those that live over there and actually care about football) and he's ruining the game with his heinous hitting punishments. - They might as well go to two hand touch or flag football because that's where Goodell appears to be heading. F%ck him

He also terribly mishandled Spygate and has done a terrible job with the Bounty Scandal.

Absolutely. I love the 3-4 day games a week. I mean, its hard enough to follow 10 games at noon CT and there are plenty of great games that we keep missing due to watching Jets games.

I don't care for thursday games, especially since it usually conflicts with a hella good college game.

Flex scheduling is failure, especially when trying to plan airline tickets in advance.

The suspensions over the bounty program are bullshit. Frankly, I find motivating players to hit hard is good for football and there was nothing in the rule book previously. I know this won't be supported and refuse to take questions on it.

I think he should've been more serious about Spygate than the bounty bs but am glad something was done.

    Aside from that, whatever.

Only hard part with this is who do you compare him to? Tagliabue? Doesn't make sense, they're different eras.

I think, compared to Stern running the NBA and the other league figureheads, that Goodell is doing just fine.

I think Goodell is absolutely awful, hes pussifiying the game on a whole new level.

Sure it was nice he cleaned up the league a bit with regards to the sleezy players, but jesus christ let the guys fucking play.

Theyre getting mega mega money, and hes turning the league into something like the NBA where so many aspects of the game are discouraged for this high scoring bullshit.

Special teams last year, was one of the biggest jokes ive seen in sports in my life. Whole aspect of the game killed instantly in the name of "safety". More and more youre seeing stupid flags for guys playing the game like it should be played, this guys an embarrassment.

As for the thursday night games, I really dont mind that. However, the one HUGE problem I have with it, is most cable providers dont offer it.

Like if youre gonna put a game EVERY week on this stupid fucking channel, at least make sure that people have the option of buying it. Having it be some retarded stupid exclusive deal is just stupid, im not going to dictate where I get my cable/satellite from based on where Goodell thinks I should order it from.

I hope he gets hit by a bus tomorrow
