I think this a very well written article. It lets us see how Rex is changing and still learning as a coach and the steps he and Tanny went to better the team. It looks Rex is going back to old Rex but adjusting to fit his team. Also, the sensei is going to be a great topic if we a great season.

I don't know if it was because I am not reading as much this offseason, but I haven't had most of the stuff she wrote about until this article.

Good article. I'm glad Rex is changing his ways hopefully keeping the things that were great about him but still improving. Jenny Vrentas articles are always so much better then Dicks and Manish's

That was a very good article, thanks for posting. I wonder if the sensei is Parcells, second guess is Buddy Ryan ...

Gotta be Parcells - He advised the Jets to hire him, he's got to be in his corner

It could also be Mike Ditka or Brian Billick.

    Good article!!!!

You know, the one thing that strikes me about Rex Ryan...his lack of bullshit. I like that...and enough people say it that I believe that is who he is...

His integrity is going to take him a long way....

I also admire that. He's the type of guy you love on your staff but despise when he's against you. I understand why a lot of people don't like his act, but it pisses me off when they don't admit he's a good HC. He is a damn good one.

Good article, thanks. I'm guessing its a non-football coach, just my guess.

That article was phenomenal. There is now way this team lacks focus this year. Being most proficient in preparation is alone a recipe for success. First article I have read that had gotten me stoked and jonesing for the season to begin!!!!!

    P.S.
It's either Coughlin or would you be shocked if it was Belicheat? They all talk you know, whether they admit it or not....

I would be absolutely floored if it were belichick. No way man, it makes no sense for him to help the jets and if he DID offer help I'd be very wary of it ...

Much respect, Rex Ryan. Get out there and show 'em how it's done.

It definitely isn't. No way Rex would hint at revealing who it was if the season goes well if its a current coach.

I do believe they all talk, but not like that if they are both current HC.

I should hope it's not Buddy Ryan; his flaws were the same as Rex's in many ways; but kind of worse.

I think Tuna could teach Rex a lot, but I also think Rex is smart enough to not change his spots completely. It wouldn't be a bad idea for him to own the media like Parcells did. Rex usually has a good command over the media, but he can get too emotional after big games/loses.

The best thing he can learn from this is how to establish the boundary between himself and players. Parcells carried himself with a degree of unapproachability that Rex could put to good use. He knows how to be a players' coach, but I think he could get better at ruling through fear (when needed).
