If Flynn and Jackson are injured, Wilson could start in Week 1.

I really find it hard to believe that Flynn hasn't been named the starter. You pay him that type of contract, you would expect him to be named the starter over Wilson and Jackson. This could be Carroll's last year in Seattle!

Flynn might just be another product of Greenbay's offensive system....

Personally, I thought this was a bad contract (much like Kevin Kolb in AZ last year). Some teams are so desperate for a QB that they throw darts at the board.

I like Russel Wilson but if Flynn can't easily distinguish himself from Wilson it was a very bad contract.

It might make sense why the Dolphins passed him over... Oh wait, nevermind

Seriously though I wanna find out more about Russell Wilson because it seems like either he's dominating camp or Flynn is as a bad as Tavaris Jackson

It's not just that Wilson could be doing good but you have to think they keep saying this is a 3-way race, that means Flynn can't set himself appart from Jackson and that's bad.

I really like Wilson, I've been rooting fo him to do well and it looks like that might actually have a chance to occur.

Also, Seattle not only gave Flynn that big contract recently but also one to superstar WR Sidney Rice..wait nevermind he's always injured and hasn't really done anything. But, they are really going to reap the rewards from giving Beast Mode his big contract..oh crap, he just got that DUI didn't he?

Yeah... Someones got some splain'n to do.

Didn't the Dolphins pass on him or vice versa?

My Seahawks fan friend says Flynn doesn't wow anybody in practice. He thinks if Flynn wins the job it will be based on what he shows in the preseason games. Flynn doesn't look good compared to Portis, Wilson and Jackson.

I think seeing Flynn in live action will determine if he starts. From what I've heard Flynn isn't a great practice player (sort of the reverse of David Clowney).

Still, if Flynn ends up not starting then his signing may be the 2nd biggest FA mistake in recent memory (Albert Haynesworth being #1 with a bullett).

I believe it was that the Phins never made him a competitive offer and that the Seahawks jumped in and signed him. I was just joking that the Phins' inability to pay the man may have actually been a well-calculated move by their idiotic GM but if Flynn flames out it's just Phins' luck and not anything they saw in Flynn to not offer him $$.

Wilson will be the #2 going into the season. I expect him to start a couple of games by the end of the season though. The Seahawks will struggle and the fans will be screaming for him. Flynn has to start the season. They gave him too much money to not.

Can't say the same about Kolb because I think Skelton is a better QB and leader.

Impressive by Wilson. Good for him, he definitely earned it.

Yep, five rookies are starting this year:
    Russell Wilson for Seattle
    Ryan Tannehill for Miami
    Brandon Weeden for Cleveland
    Robert Griffin III for Washington
    Andrew Luck for Indianapolis

The Jets have FOUR games against rookie QBs this year. The Bills have FIVE games against rookie QBs.
