Revenge from last year? Is that a serious notion? Until we beat them in a similar game like they beat and somewhat embarrassed us last year and we win a fucking super bowl, NOTHING will be "revenge" for last year. FUCK YOU SCHOTTY!

Seriously? Revenge? Dude in case you missed it they've won 2 of the last 4 SB's and you think a stupid pre season game is revenge?

If Jets beat Giants for SB and snatch the Lombardi Trophy, I would consider THAT a revenge. Anything short of that... not even halfway close. Call that an Epic Fail.

Last year, the Jets offense scored a TD early, the Giants' starting offense struggled so much that they kept their starter offense in until just before the half against the Jets backups. And then NYG went on to win it all.

This game, if you want to call it that, doesn't mean a motherfucking thing. But go ahead and psyche yourself up for a scrimmage, and then post a bunch of times, because your avatar is far better than your annoyingly sarcastic posts.

Since it's preseason, there is no revenge in this. However, if this was a regular season game or a Super Bowl matchup, revenge is definitely needed. If one day, the Jets beat the Giants in the Super Bowl, that will be the ultimate revenge.

I want to knock the snot out of the GI- Aints anytime and every time we play them. I want the media who favors the Gi-Aints so much to be embarassed! I want their bragging fans quited just like we did that first time we played them in the YALE BOWL. I hate the Gi-Aints and their fans as much as I hate the Blowfish and their blowhole fans! ( nah maybe a bit more)

There's two schools of thought on that...
    1. The group that knows no matter how good a team we field, we're gonna somehow fuck it up and lose it all.

    2. The group that knows no matter how bad a team we field, we're gonna somehow pull it out and win it all.

SOJF is interchangeable between the two groups.

If we win the Super Bowl, we "win" NY. We keep Rex, we win headlines even when Antrel Rolle is spouting guarantees about making the playoffs and being wrong (in back to back years)

This was never a rivalry, Rex tried to turn it into one. Ive always mutually respected the Giants and never had a problem with them until things got heated last between the organization and fanbases.

The teams I hate are the Dolphins, Patriots, and Bills.

They beat us in week 16 last year & set into motion 2 very different set of events.

We - practically got knocked out of the playoff & set in motion the implosion & revealing of the implosion of our locker room...

They- Clinched a playoff spot & went on to beat every team they face from that game on on their way to another superbowl win...

We could beat them 54-0 today & it wont mean shit... These preseason wins dont mean a thing

I wonder why SOJH's are always so bipolar. This is only a preseason game but with a little spice added since the two teams share a stadium and a market. The fact is that the Giants are SB Champs and the Jets aren't so lets try to keep this all in perspective.

One thousand times this. I don't remember there being anything close to this level of animosity during the Mangini years. Hell, during the Herm years the worst we had was a scrimmage where Edwards wanted the defense to hit and the Giants weren't thrilled about it.

The fans get at each other more than the teams do. Don't get me wrong, Rex's comments definitely escalated things and the Giants have responded in turn, but I don't think there is much wind left in these sails. Last season either proved your point (if you're the Giants) or dissuaded you from firing more shots across the bow (if you're Rex Ryan).

Having said all that, I'm sure that both teams will be happily commenting on each other if one of them starts having a rough year.

2015 is the year we get our revenge or if we happen to meet in the super bowl. I don't care if we lose or win this game. I just want to see the offense execute properly and to see how the young guys do on defense.

Is this thread a complete joke? Winning a meaningless preseason game exacts revenge for them beating us in the regular season, giving them the chance to go on and win the super bowl? Oh my goodness. I just hope they make Eli bleed like they did two years ago.

Just like when we were Super Bowl champs and we were going to play them in the Yale Bowl. Neither the Gi-aints or their fans kept their perspective and told the world how they were going to beat us. They talked down to us and are still doing so while some Jets fans talk about perspectives! They hate us and resent us being in NY. They think NY is theirs! That is what this is really about. How many times has Mara opened his big mouth to put in a dig about Tebow recently? How many times do they have to rub their Lombardi in our faces before we learn to see them for what they are? The time is now. BEAT THE GI-AINTS!
