    Pros

Opening drive/early offense success: second straight game we came out and got points in the first couple possesions. a welcome change from going like a year without an opening drive score. agressive early on and good mix.

protecting the footbal(offensively): i know kerley muffed the punt, but offensively we protected the football again. and if we dont turn the ball over, we are going to be in every single game.

    Pass protection
: not bad, sanchez had time most of the afternoon

    Cons

Tackling: awful. awful. awful. we consistently turned short gains and losses into first downs and big plays. pathetic. we knew coming in if we couldnt tackle big ben we werent winning. we had a ton of chances and capitalized on basically none of them

3rd down defense. pathetic. nothing else needs to be said here.

Hands: to many drops, the muffed punt, etc....

    other notes...

Sanchez didnt play great, but im going to give him some slack because he really didnt get a chance to be in rhythm. just 3 first half possesions. and second half the d couldnt get off the field. he wasnt good, but didnt turn it over or kill us either.

chicken shit call not going for some points at the end of the first half

im not about to say we should have gone with tebow for the entire second half, but we couldnt get going on offense, tebow comes in and runs for 22 yards, and we dont really see him again. would have been nice to have him sprinkled in a few times and see if we could get something going

Pros- getting decent pressure on the qb
Pros- Sanchez and the offense played well on the opening drive
Pros- Greene played well until he got hurt

Cons- not being able to sack the qb despite getting pressure
Cons- the offense struggling with wr's drooping passes
Cons- special teams still muffing punts

The new punter is good but inconsistent. He gave the punting unit a chance to pin them deep a few times. But he did shank a couple of balls. He was a pleasant surprise overall.

Agreed on all points. I hope Powell gets more carries going forward.

Greene has proved once again that he can't initiate contact and win the battle. For a guy who runs like a truck with his head down not being able to stay healthy in these contact battles is a big negative.

He had a pretty big collision helmet to helmet and came up pretty woozy. Can't blame Greene for that.

You can if it's a trend and Greene has proven again he can't run with his head down and stay healthy.

He gets injured every single game. It's not just some fluke helmet shot that people are overreacting to. He may have a high pain threshold but his running style is a detriment to his health, effectiveness and longevity. We can't count on him to be a starter.

Does anyone feel like sanchez just kind of quit around the middle or end of the 3rd quarter? I feel like some of the passes he threw he missed some open receivers. Im not putting all the blame on sanchez, however I feel like he just stopped trying to throw the ball well.

Exactly. Like it or not, being injury prone is a legitimate factor in determining a player's overall value.

Thats true. He usually has these nagging leg injuries that pull him out or he will take a shot to the ribs. This is the only time that I remember at least where he took a shot to the head like that. Sanchez made him go to the sidelines as he was obviously woozy. Greene isn't durable but I can't fault him for taking a shot to the head.

He needs to run with his helmet down because he doesn't have the ability to run straight up and make people miss.

Pros: I thought the defense played well stopping the run. The touchdown series was nice. Should have spread te ball around more to Kerley and Hill. Tebow should have kept that ball that greene got tackled in the backfield on. He was rolling and we had pulling linemen opening up Big lane on the left. Have to run the football to setup play action.

Cons: should have put Ben down more and Cro has to at the very least break up that td pass. We need to create turnovers and probable scoring field position for our developing offense. Defense was on the field way too long. Hill has to catch that pass. Kerley has to get involved more, he might be out most explosive receiver speed, breaking tackles. Kerley also has to secure that punt.

Finally .........Holmes you penalty calling piece of @&$/?! WAKE Up homeboy. You literally sucked yesterday Soooo bad. The game isn't over bc you flew around the endzone!!!! CATCH the DAMN Ball DO you're JOB!!!! You could have had you're first 10 catch game yesterday and you're 1st 100yd game as a member of the Jets. I loathe how selfish you are! Pathetic #10.

Pro: Garratte McIntyre took Thomas' place and looked good. 2 sacks and that huge hit on the running back is great. I want to see more of him cause he is looking good if not better than Thomas and Pace.

Con: Holmes is a little bitch and can't catch the ball.

All you have to do to be an 8-8 team is to play great one week and play terrible the next. That's what the Jets look like right now. Last week they proved something so this week they don't have to? They shut some people up last week, started reading their own press clippings, got fat and happy, and decided to take this week off in celebration of last week.

Until the Jets prove they can beat Houston, San Fran, and the Pats, I'll just leave this here...

I highly doubt they lost yesterday because they felt high and mighty after one win. It was simply about execution.

When the Jets brought Tebow in and he broke that 20 yard run you could see Tomlin pacing on the sideline like "Dammit, here we go with Tebow again!". The Jets had them confused, and considering the recent history of Tebow beating them in the playoffs the Jets could have made something out of that advantage and they didn't.

you would think they would bring him in just to give a diffferent look. run a play with him and sanchez on the field maybe with tim at TE. make their defense change personal or how they are attacking.

i just thought, with how stagnant we were bringing in tebow in some compacity would have been a way to gain some rhythm

Pros. No turnovers by the offense. Mangold. The new kid McIntyre.

    Cons. Pretty much everything else.

PROS????? You could have left that word out of the title. How about CONS and CONS. Even "The Wrath of CONS" would have been a better title.
