Santonio has always been in top 5 leading the league in drops, even when he was in Pittsburgh. He made a career out of Rothelisberger extending the play and giving him extra time.

It is pretty clear he isn't a #1 receiver, I just wish they didn't pay him like one

Holmes is a piece of shit,,,,,there is another thread on him where I called him a punk,,,,go watch or listen to his interview after this loss to Pitt,,,,what a piece of shit! I cannot wait until he is off this team! I disliked him before yesterday , and now I feel even worse that he is on our team !

He answered questions like a total dick,,,,,,,and the 2 that really bothered me were 1 when they asked him about how he played today and 2 the one that sums up his sorry ass lackluster piece of shit attitude was when someone asked him about whether or not he would go over to Hill and offer any advice or basically pick the kid up,,,,,,Holmes " no " . What an ass clown

There were passes thrown his way today that if he had bent over, the ball still would have stuck somewhere in his ass. This asshole (no pun intended) was shitty today (no pun intended again).

inspite of the TD and a FEW mins of decent play he blew the rest of the game . . . not good for a guy who insists he is the #1 receiver we have. NOT after yesterday so much.

Yeah, it really was the right thing to do. The reverberations of not doing it are going to be with us for years. Starting with the Jets should be developing another WR with Sanchez this year, even with Hill on the other side.

Holmes is a small dude. Maybe Sanchez is making a point and proving to Holmes and everybody why he didnt get pass him the ball that much last year. Maybe Sanchez knows the only way to get him to shut up and prove he is overrated is by passing him the ball more. The key to Holmes is physicality. If you control him at he LOS you can shut him down, hes not that strong.

He just doesn't have the competitive fire that he used to have. It's too bad because he's incredibly talented.

    Redskins wanted him.

anyway, yes Santonio had a shitty day on Sunday but it I think he's an important cog in this offense, a guy that can make plays with the yards after catch. Everybody (for the most part) seemed to struggle yesterday.

    He's a piece of shit.

I've tried real hard to try to love this guy and did after his 10' season. Last year he pissed me off, but yesterday was where I draw the line.

Too bad he scored our only touchdown against the steelers. He's what we have so we'll just have to see if can turn it around with some big games like he used to have for us.

No way we get that.... Unless they were shitty rocks. I think we are going to have to give him away and absorb a goodly chunk of his salary as well. The Holmes 'experiment' will be with us for years, regardless of whether he is on the roster.

You are very correct. Holmes has to go. I want Holmes off this team in the worst way. He is not a Jet. Why do you think Cotchery left? Because he saw what was coming with Holmes - he will never publicly say it but Cotchery knew it. Mark my words - Holmes will not be a Jet after this season.

He's a #2 WR stuck in a #1 WR role and to top it all off he's a selfish, me-first type player. #1 WR attitude with #2 WR abilities. He's a joke. The only charity work you'll ever see him at, too, is his own. It's always about Tone and only Tone in EVERY aspect of his life.

Problem is, he isn't going anywhere any time soon. Due to not releasing him prior to this March, the Jets guaranteed his entire 2012 contract and somewhere around 80-85% of his 2013 contract. He's going to be a Jet through the 2013 season, especially with the Jets cap issues that they'll have entering 2013, they won't be able to just cut ties with him and take the cap hit.

Holmes will be traded this off season , but it will be for fuck all.. his 3 years remaining is quite cap friendly to a team with a wr need as first year carries a high cap figure and dead money but year 2 and 3 are cap friendly re dead money. So he could be traded to a team needing a no 2 receiver for a 6th no more ..basically a salary dump.

Guy is a cancer and if we get no takers he will be cut...
