I wonder why Tebow was out there for the overtime coin toss.

All Tebow does is win...coin tosses.

his chances of getting the call right are higher than his chances of completing a pass thus far in his career ;)

Rex always sends out different guys each week. Its usually based upon something... a guy that used to play for the other team or had a recent issue or something. In this case, I would guess its because Tebow is popular in Florida.

    Newsflash: Tebow wins coin toss.

Tim Tebow, the much maligned, back up NY Jets quarter back is batting 1000 with his legendary coin toss calling prowess this season. Can he continue this streak? Only time will tell.

    Talk about bragging rights.

The coin toss had a tighter spiral than a tebow toss.

.... meanwhile Sanchez has never won a coin toss in his 4-yrs tenure as Jets QB. It is just a matter of time before the fans will force Rex to move Sanchez from the QB position an get TT in.

Rex does captains on a game to game basis. Tebow was probably captains for yesterday because of the Florida thing. If he could Rex would have sent Sparano out there

Feeling guilty about having so much fun yet? I'm not. I stopped feeling guilty when I went through puberty.

That's so true... I missed it but was Bell a captain yesterday as well? I can't remember who he sent out one year for the Pats game but it was somebody the Pats had cut earlier in the week. I remember him doing Taylor for a Phins game.

Before one of the Pats game he did Larry Izzo, Kevin O'Connoll, and other ex Pats I believe. I think he had a player go out by himself. Taylor maybe? LT? They carried out Byrd's jersey too after he gave a speech to them.

Here were the captains for yesterday: "Jets game captains: DBrickashaw Ferguson, Yeremiah Bell, Tim Tebow, Bilal Powell, Clyde Gates, Dedrick Epps."

    http://blog.newyorkjets.com/2012/09/23/jets-dolphins-first-half-tweets/

Sparano got the game ball. Schotty got the game ball when the Jets beat the Chargers in the playoffs.

I know Bell and Gates came from the Phins. Was Epps a former Phin as well? Tebow obviously for the Florida thing. Cool, thanks for the info
