Why does our season end in Miami for two straight years???? I know our season isn't over but if it ends badly because of the Revis injury that will be two years in a row something bad happened in Miami
It isn't just the Jets, it is a pretty bad site in general when it comes to "analysis". They have the Saints 30th and the Dolphins 31st in the power rankings which I found to be pretty absurd.
I say this all the time, but if you're dumb enough to take Mike Florio seriously then you deserve to have your day ruined by his shitty "analysis."
PFT doesn't analyze. They talk. And what they talk about is what gets them the most hits and what drives the largest number of people to make their own comments. The opportunity to put the 0-3 Saints 30th in the power rankings is a godsend for them because it will cause a lot of talk and traffic for them.
What better time to put a coach on the hot seat, while in first place and 2-0 in the division. Makes sense.
Woody likes Rex so I cant see him getting the boot. Tanny on the other hand has done an awful job putting this team together. I understand Rex has input in who gets drafted and who should come in but hes still the coach that gets the guys to play on the field and has a winning record.
There is no way Woody goes in to a season with a New York Super Bowl with a rebuild in mind. That's just not happening.
Picking stats from a three-game season can lead to silly stuff like this - the assertion that Hill, who hasn't done a thing except drop passes in two-thirds of that three-game season, is somehow a strength because he is 11th in TD receptions.
Those who want Woody gone, are about as dumb as those that think Tebow can lead this team better than Sanchez. Please tell me which owner has spent more money on his team in the last 4-5 years than Woody. Jets have always been on the verge of salary cap issues, which means Woody is willing to spend even more if there wasn't a cap. As an owner, that's about all he can do, and as a fan, that's all we can expect out of him.
Woody isn't going anywhere - come on, he owns the team. Tanny is the one on the hot seat though. Jets need to re-evaluate the draft strategy and get back to what's deemed "Jets' Football." Jets' football, per REX is, run and defense. Get back to that, and we'll be back to the AFC Championship game, playing for the Superbowl.
The fact Revis got hurt I would think gives Rex and (unfortunately) Tanny a pass for this year unless it just becomes a total 5-11 disaster. Thing about Rex is, if he really is a defensive genius he'd better start showing it now, the defense has gotten progressively worse every season WITH Revis.
^^ This - I stopped visiting that site a long time ago (the only thing I miss is all the hilarious posts by all the Pats fans that hang out there that jump on every Jets story going, one guy in particular is ridiculous in the amount he posts.
Again, you can't say Tanny is on the hot seat without saying Rex is too. There's no new GM coming in without ht power of picking his own guy for coach. Rex is on the hot seat. Period.
