Is anyone else frustrated that the Patriots are out running our team? By a mile? Their averaging almost DOUBLE rushing yards per game more than us, we were supposed to be the running team. Ridley and Bolden are both outrunning our team right now and they actually still have a pass game. We really need a change.

Shonn Greene can't lead our "ground n pound". We already established this, but the thick headed CS and FO can't.

im not frustrated because it was to be expected, you cant ignore OL and RB and expect to run better.

I think there heads are getting thiner. I look for the Jets to start out with Green tonight. He going to be sat down for his backup.

It's called adapting. When the Jets just put all their defensive players in the middle of the field in that playoff game a couple of years ago and took away all the quick passes, the Pats had no answer. Green-Ellis ran 9 times that game!

They worked on it last year, and did alright with the running game, but Green-Ellis, while steady and sure, wasn't a threat to gash defenses.

This year, if teams go small on the Pats, they'll run it down their throats.

The Jets proclaimed all summer that they were going back to ground and pound, so everyone is loading the box on them. The only way this works is if you have deep threats that can make teams pay for it.

Hill may eventually be that guy, but for a team like the Jets in a "win now" mode, they should have gotten a veteran somewhere for this also. Holmes, for all his talent is not a guy who stratches defenses, in fact, he's much more of an asset when there is one on the other side of the field.

Who's going to "stack the box" with Tom Brady @ QB?

As others above me have said, its easy to run when you have a fantastic QB and a load of good receiving options as the D has to respect the pass.

You don't have to do that with the Jets = rubbish running game.

I swear that the quality of posts on this forum seems to match the quality of the team - the worse we get the worse this forum gets.

As well as a predictable running game as we almost pose a zero threat in the air

By my count, we need twelve new starters on offense and defense.
With that many holes, you aren't likely to perform very well in any phase of the game.
It's time to rebuild; but with a different GM.

Yeah lets just completely ignore the fact that we played 2 top 5 run defenses in the past 2 weeks.

We were supposed to be a top run defense, that didn't seem to discourage the 49ers from running all over us.

Because Greene is "cheap" to keep around. Plus Rex is too loyal to him to reduce his snaps.

We need to see what we have in Powell and McKnight.

You really gonna sit here and come up with that excuse? Do you honestly believe that Greene is the answer?
