I like the idea of the Jets cutting Tim and the Pats picking him up best. Jax has always been foo foo to me and I hear Khan may move the team to LA.
Who's the pats backup? I will tell you that I think Brady likes Tebow and would take him under his belt to teach him. If he had stayed in Denver I never believed Manning would have worked with him. Payton is known as a ball hog, just look at Curtis Painter or anyone who backed up Manning. Doesn't look like Manning taught them anything. I'm sure Bellicheck knows how to use Tebow a lot better than Rex the Toe Man but would he ever start after Brady?
I never said you wrote it. You posted it saying "more and more articles are being written about Rex's ineptness, and for good reason". You probably don't know dick about Rex, nor do you care to. You don't care about the Jets or whether Rex is a good coach. All you care about is Tim Tebow getting playing time so you can ogle over his celebrations while you imagine him celebrating on your ass. So when you see an article about "Rex Ryan's ineptness" you don't give a shit if it was written by another Tebow admirer with the same lame thought process, you just roll with it and figure it's a good fluffer.
lol. A "cowboys fan" who doesn't know how to spell Sparano. Makes one wonder how long you have been a "cowboys fan". Since the days of Sparano?
Thanks for letting me know about what I think and care about. I would be so helpless without you (cough cough). Seriously, maybe consider this; I care about the Jets WINNING. That should be enough to avoid being stalked by a fellow Jets fan.
Hahaha, the spelling police strike again. Maybe review some of CowboysFan's comments. I think you will conclude, like I have, when CowboysFan misspells a word it is intentional.
idk i've heard Brady does not share first team snaps at all and he is very protective of his job. Not because he would be threatened by Tebow its just because of how Brady got his job. p.s cant remember the source might be wrong.
I think Ryan Mallett is the backup for the Pats IIRC. I would bet that when Brady retires Bellichek rolls out a full blown spread option offense. He is tight with Urban Meyer, and is high on Florida talent, they already run a huge % shotgun and run a spread offense. He gets a guy who can throw and run and it will be tough to stop them.
That's the same as I would do if I was Brady. Why share snaps. Sharing snaps is not a good idea anyway as long as a team has a successful QB. Using backup QBs is for mopping up and using if there is an injury. Conversely, with the Jets, the Jets need something better going on behind the center. Tim and Greg are Jets' backup QBs. Aside from that, unless and until Mark gets his act together then giving Tim some series opportunities would be a good thing, IMO. The Jets using Tim for Rex's and Tony's little trick plays is OK I guess, but is basically a non issue unless the Jets are desperate or are just not good enough to get wins playing straight up.
Ask him. Man, some folks around here are dense. Rex, Woody and Tanny didnt want Tim, they just didnt want him going to the Pats. Bellichick had no intention of using Tim as a QB and there was no distraction or controversy because nobody in their right mind would want Tim behind center when you have Tom Brady. McDaniels traded up to draft Tim in the first round. Prior to that draft Bellichick flew Tim to New England and spent 2 days with him. Bellichick is 100 times smarter than Sparano. However, Bellichick is tight with his draft picks and figured he would wait it out and pick Tim up for a lot less once he got cut.
This seems like a real stretch. Mostly backup QBs had trouble when Peyton didn't was because Peyton was the team. The defense was built on having a lead, the run game was built on having a pass game to open it, the offense depended on Manning seeing and calling the right thing. Hard shoes for a backup to fill. The Colts team only won 1 SB with Peyton because they couldn't build a team around him. It makes sense the one time they won, the defense/special teams played well during the run.
If there is one time that Tebow gets subbed in late in a close game, and the Jets lose because of a mistake from him or something like that, the coach gets ripped all week. Very few coaches have job security where they can mess around like that. I honestly think that's why more coaches try to play it safe. Because if it's the "Traditional" football move and it doesn't work, everyone says oh well. If it's the "non-traditional" football move and it doesn't work, the coach gets ripped all week and coaching the in NFL, and especially the Jets, is a short term business recently. Maybe I'm too negative and the owners are smart and don't let the media/fans influence decisions, but I find that hard to believe
I'm curious why Johnson's "three years" comment about Tebow or his positive words about Sanchez are so controversial. Could he just be telling the truth? Could he have suggested anything else without causing a media storm? Sure, it's already a circus, but that's the media's fault, but I really can't see that anything Johnson is saying is worthy of such scrutiny. And other that Rex's starter for "this week" comment, he is just giving the obvious responses to the obvious questions.
Khan had his chance and failed horribly. Jacksonville is abysmal and it's because of our GM. If he isn't fired after this season then Jacksonville will be moved out west or to London, and I'll be laughing at the ineptness of the fanbase to not make a large enough cry out in terms of not going to games and ending their season holders status and accepting crap performances week in and week out.
No, you're right. He was asked a stupid question about Tebow somehow leaving the team. He gave a non-answer -- the length of his current contract. He supported the current starter. No surprise.
I think it's a complicated issue on a few levels. 1.It pisses Sanchez fans off because they see it as disrupting his growth with Tebow lurking 2.It annoyes Tebow fans because its seen as 2 more years of poor usage and suppressing any chance of starting 3. The vote of confidence for Sanchez pisses off fans who see him struggling and at times faltering badly. They want to know why they won't hold his feet to the fire and let him ride the pine There are many other issues that pertain I'm sure.
