This may be a little random, but we signed this guy two weeks ago and I have seen him play a little bit, but haven't been paying attention to it. Has he been playing like any snaps on defense or is he still learning? I thought he was a pretty decent signing by the Jets and would like to see a good young DB make his way into the rotation, so could somebody tell me what they have seen regarding him?
Oh alright awesome Rex said "The Jets believe that Berry, once he learns the system, could become their nickel or dime back. Ryan estimated it will take Berry some time, perhaps a week or two, before he gets into football shape." Has anybody ever seen him play? Like would he be better than Lankster, although he hhas played alright
I don't ever remember him playing, although I remember he was supposed to be a starter in Detroit this year before off the field issues had him cut. A starting CB, regardless of how bad that teams CB corps was, is pretty impressive to have as our 3rd string.
He's a good CB, I think he had 11 PD last year which is good Should start for us to be honest and put Kyle back in the slot
I think Berry is better on the outside than Wilson is. Wilson belongs in the slot where he can maximize his ability.
Why do you guys love to hate Wilson so much. He did get burnt a few times during the Dolphins game ( i think it was) and got lucky that the pass was over thrown but he's been very solid for us other than that. He was part of a jets secondary that didn't allow a touchdown last game. And you all are saying this guy who hasn't even seen snaps on defense yet should start instead ? For tebow's sake ....
I dont hate him I think he's better in the slot side-side. He cant turn his head so why would we play him on the outside
Anybody watch the press conferences to see if Rex says he has actually learned the defense and will play Defensive snaps? Cause this kid is a burner and can cover pretty well man to man
I don't think anybody hates him. He is an above average nickel corner whereas he is an average outside corner.
Has to take a while to get accumulated into the defense, especially one that as Quenton Coples puts it "changes every week". I think we'll see a lot more of him after the Bye.
