Forgive me for this if it was already posted, but I havent had internet access since way before the trade came in. I heard from a friend who said that they purposly failed Suggs because they knew that the Barlow trade was comming true. Is this true?

Again, sorry if this was already posted.

It's probably just speculation. There's been no official news of that at all. Even if it was true, I'd doubt the FO to come out and publicly admit it. We'll probably never know.

There was a rumor about it, but obviously the Jets aren't going to come out and say they failed him purposely. Suggs got cut today anyway, so it worked out that we didn't do that deal.

At least we can entertain the thought of bringing him in for cheap? And not lose a draft pick...

Well we were never going to lose a draft pick anyway, we would've lost Strait. And we're already carrying 4 RBs + Curtis, I don't think Suggs represents that much of an upgrade that we should bring him in.

no, i was upset about him anyways. I'm glad it fell through. I'm curious what exactly Barlow brings to the team, but has there been any news on the branch deal?

It didn't happen by the 4:00 ET deadline yesterday, and now Branch is filing a greivance vs. the Pats.

Yeah, but he has no basis unfortunately. Do you think we'll trade for him?

yes, Suggs would require us not to lose anything. he might be worth a look.

Suggs was on the bubble it appears...now cut... he's there almost for free....but Tangini's manuevers run deep I think...they had excellent tutors

I stand corrected, it wasn't a pick, it was Strait in that trade.

I know Suggs isnt much of an upgrade, but neither were any of the players we picked up and waived a day later. lol
