No offense to him, but how the hell does James Dearth make the team every year? Anybody know what kind of injury moore had last year? Says he didn't play at all last season.
that sucks i liked adams and thought he would make the team for sure. he played with alot of fire on friday night, i hope he goes to the practice squad
I picked Hilton in my fantasy draft Friday night in the next to last round....I'm glad he's a Jet now...I just hope we use him alot in the redzone!
I like this pickup but I hate that we waived Titus Adamns. But I like the 2 pickups we got. Hilton's a solid target.
Please, do not compare anybody to doug jolley. It makes my head hurt too much. Now, I'm curious as to what kinda speed hilton has, because i would really hate to see some guy who runs like patrick ewing going down field, and it makes me a little worried that he was cut by New Orleans. That's like nobody wanting chuck rogers because he was cut by detroit. I think the more depth at defensive line the better, Good pick up, and yes, I'm sad they cut titus, i thought he would make the team (and not for stopping the eagles on fourth down in a completely meaningless pre season game.).
I picked Hilton as my fantasy sleeper in the ESPN league. Since Pennington is efficient in the short game, a monster tightend will help him on outs. And riding on what TBJ said, Jolley sucks in games and can't seperate. Part of his problem is that you can drop a friggain end into coverage against him to cover him. Cutting Titus Adams just makes that look like a bad pick too.
Dont laugh too hard. Having a long snapper that you dont have to worry about is very important. Ask the Giants a couple of years ago what happens when you dont have one.
You know, that's a really good point. At least we know this CS/FO is comfortable enough with their performance that they are willing to dump guys they just drafted if they don't fit what they feel are the needs of the team. Impressively, I read some words from Pennington yesterday, where he said this team expects to win this year. He said that they do not believe that last year will repeat itself, and they will continue to do whatever they have to do to prove the critics wrong. It definitely has appeared that way so far. Can you imagine how much Mangini's ass will be kissed by the media if this team actually manages a playoff run? I still don't see it happening, but wow, can you just imagine?
Good luck. The pass to the tight end (after a fake to the running back) was a great redzone play that the Jets seemed to remove from their playbook last year. It seemed that when they ran that in the past the TE was always open.
