But we were not talking about Sanchez....I am sure the same argument could be made for Abe Lincoln VS Chuck Norris. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj2Zf9tlg2Y
No shit! "To get or not to get into the PO" would be critical for any real fan. You haven't answered my question though: Are you sure you're actually a Cowboys fan?
Since 1977 , and your wrong , since I have personally witnessed 4 Super Bowl wins from my favorite team , I know that the current cowboys team has no chance of winning a super bowl. we are not built like he Giants to sneak In and win it by getting hot. Just getting to the playoffs might be a big deal for you but it's not or me . Sure I want them to beat the Redskins but Jerry has too many things to correct before we can beat the top teams in the NFC .
For the 1000th time and one of the final times for sure , I will state what I believe. Tebow has a real upside , one example would be that he led the nfl in 4th Quarter QBR last year and was also the NFL's number 1 red zone threat . Those qualities merit development even if it takes a few years on the bench . Not " he is terrible and is not a QB" You can boil down my entire belief system for Tebow with the following sentence : " Tebow needs to work and improve in many areas but he merits a chance". How that opinion can be construed as unreasonable and also warrant so many people in this site insulting me from homophobic slurs to questioning my NFL fandom is fascinating as well as sad.
In higher level academic courses, you begin to read primary texts and form your analysis based upon your comprehension of the material. So, instead of reading a book in which someone summarizes Plato's Theory of Forms, you actually read Plato's Republic and write your own analysis/thesis. Essentially, you reach a level in which you no longer require being spoon-fed information and can make your own judgements. Take a second and see how that applies to what you just said. Then ask yourself if you really deserve to criticize the opinions of people who analyze the "primary" information as opposed to regurgitating someone else's opinion.
The problem is that unless you're at the Jets practices all season you don't have access to the primary information, Socrates.
Really not following your logic here. You are trying to say that the brain trust of the NYJ did not play Tim because they thought he blows. This is the same brain trust that stated Butt Fumble was their best chance to win. If this is the case by your logic, then both statements are true due to their source. From game experience we have seen that the second statement is false so your contention is that the brain trust statements need only be true when said statements comply with your opinions or support your arguments. The Crazy(as in mad) Bro. SF
unfortunately for tebow there are 3 quarters before that when his rating was one of the lowest. only if you dont take into account how often he got them into the red zone. He got touchdowns the 1 or 2 times a game he got them into the red zone, which is super awesome. Unfortunately real qb's get their team into the red zone a bit more often than that. You take the smallest bullshit stats and use them to say he has upside? if it throws like a shitty qb, cant read defenses like a shitty qb or average more than 1-2 red zone visits per game ...well then he's a shitty qb.
what games? you mean the 70 plays he had this year? yeah he looked like a world beater! funny... once again the "fan" thinks he knows more than the Broncos brass and the Jets brass. I guess they should get you to evaluate talent because they clearly let the qb with this "upside" get away. third team in 4 years after this season ... he may even have to go to the cfl. gosh i wonder why all 32 teams dont get it? They must all be wrong.
I do hope you're not an English Teacher. By "Jets brass" are you implying the brain trust that continued to play Sanchez until the season was lost. Please don't compare them with the Denver brass who sitting at 1-4, however reluctantly, allowed Tebow to play and thus were rewarded with some playoff games. Oh, and that same Jets Brain Trust is now going to play Butt Fumble again. This Brain Trust is worse than Pappy O'Daniel's brain trust in "Oh, Brother Where Art Thou". The Mad Bro. SF
Here's where you guys really just don't get it. Sanchez blows, hard, everyone knows that. Tebow is not even in his league, because he's not a QB. We've all seen Tebow in games too. Most people recognize that he sucks dick as a QB BASED ON THOSE GAMES. You guys take the fact that he has a clutch gene, pick and choose some stats, throw it into a blender and come to the conclusion that he is an NFL QB. I know you guys are hell bent on arguing that he's an NFL QB, and refuse to acknowledge the fact that TWO NFL TEAMS have now shown with their actions that they do not think he's an NFL QB and he will not become an NFL QB. If the Broncos thought he was an NFL QB or could have developed into one they never would have traded him away for a huge loss. If the Jets did, they would have put him in to develop when the season was lost and Sanchez was in the gutter. No one in the NFL thinks this guy is a QB, only you tebots do. I know you have a million excuses to explain all of that away too, save them for someone else because they are nothing but excuses. NFL decision makers get paid to make decisions that help their team win short term and long term, and if they don't - they're out of a job. Save me the bullshit tebot excuses. The Iron Shiek will welcome him with open arms though. So start preparing your excuses now as to why Blaine Gabbart is starting over Tebow. Surely you will come up with several scapegoats to point at to excuse Tebow not starting. http://forum.jaguars.com/
Well there are a lot of Denver fans who will disagree with you that he is not a QB. Relying on the few Denver trolls that have showed up here is not the general consensus in Denver. Just like the members of this forum do not relfect the opinions of the many NYJ fans who continue to call for Tebow at the games. So who are the REAL NYJ fans, the ones paying for seats in the stands calling for Tebow, or the those lurking on the internet demanding his release? One last time. Denver got Peyton Freakin Manning. /Sarcasm on/ I'm willing to bet that many NYJ fans would have given up their first born for Peyton Freakin Manning. /Sarcasm off/
I know right? I would have loved to have had Manning here. The Broncos got him at the end of his career and he's still beasting. If you had a young QB you thought needed time to develop that was the perfect situation, he could have learned from the best ... but they traded him for a huge loss instead. I know - you have excuses for that too. Save them for someone else.
1. Blaine Gabbert looks better thowing in shorts . 2. Gene Smith ( assuming he stays ) has too much invested in the Gabbert pick 3. Mularkey is not comfortable switching offenses 4. Team is not built for the pistol or spread option , recievers don't block well. 5. MJD demands too many touches out of a tradition pro set 6. Defense sucks 7. Khan thought he was buying a cricket team , not sure why he signed Tebow 8. It's too hot in Jacksonville 9. Tebow's family is distracting him since they live there . 10. Blackmon is a bust and Shorts a flash in the pan Man I am just getting started!!!!!!!!!!!!
