Hey everybody! I'm new on the boards but it looks like a great way for me to keep up on my beloved J-E-T-S. Always awesome to find passionate Jet fans! I just moved out to LA from NY and I wanted to know if anybody on here knew where is a good spot to catch the games in LA. Thanks! -Max
I'm from NJ and live in Culver City area. We have a group of Jets fans meeting at Qs in Westwood for the Titans game. For the last 10+ years, we have been going to Yankee Doodles and Gotham Hall in Santa Monica. Gotham has stopped showing the NFL and YD has a few problems with it's feed. We are try Qs for the first time. Let me know if you need any more info. Rich
Hey Rich....Q's sounds great. I'm in the Miracle Mile area so not too far for me. I guess I just take Wilshire straight down there? What time do people get there? This whole time zone difference is crazy for me. Football at 10 AM! wow.
I'm in Orange County as well but watch all my games in Long Beach. There's a Jets bar called Green Dog and is always packed with Jets Fans. Lots of enthusiasm....when we win!:jets:
Iceman I live around Culver City too(from N.Y. but been out here since 92). I'm flying to Tennesee this weekend 4 the game. I caught a few games last year at Gotham Hall & Yankee Doodles. Never been to Q's for a game, let me know how it is, maybe I'll show week 2.
I'm not in LA but close enough..... Vegas. It's kinda of like East East LA with all the SoCalers here. Maybe I'll swing out to LA for a game one weekend and catch up to you guys in Culver City which is pretty close to LAX I think. Or vice versa if your ever in Vegas we'll catch a game at Skinny Dugans which is were all the Vegas Jet fans hang out on Sundays. Of course I have the ticket so I might not be there too much this year. RM
Hey Mags...we need to find another place than Skinny Dugans, the food sucks. Let me know what games you fly back for...I still have my 4 seats...
Camarillo CA here. A little to far to make it to Westwood, so I'll just have to get by with Sunday Ticket.
Hey LAJet I know 10am is early but it does give you the rest of day to do stuff. Most people roll in at 9:58. I'm not sure how good parking will be because of the permit stituation on the side streets. This is a test for Qs so if were are not happy we may try Busbys on Santa Monica for week 2. I'll be wearing my Mo Lewis jersey. Rich
Gotham Hall at Third Street Promenade-Santa Monica is a nice, classier place you can bring a lady to (plenty of distractions on 3rd St. for her). Ye Rustic Inn on Hillhurst in Los Feliz is a shithole with sexy barwhores and pretty-decent wings. I met some of my best friends out here at The Rustic. I do away games at home, and home games at The Meadowlands. Good luck out here. If you're a writer, actor, or musician you'll eventually end up at The Rustic anyway. Take the trains as often as possible...no one does. Best way to travel out here if there's one near your commute route. They're clean, empty, and each station is completely Disneyfied. Cross the street when prompted...they actually do write jaywalking tickets because the bloods and crips don't give them enough work. Don't date any actresses...no matter how hot or charming, they're all crazy. Go to movies at the Arclight. That's my advice for now.
