Obviously Chad and Mangini and the receivers deserve some props as well but I was incredibly impressed with what Schottenheimer has accomplished with the Jet offense. I loved all the different looks and formations that he had. I thought the play calling was smart and aggressive. It was really exciting to actually see a mix of short medium and LONG passes. The use of Brad Smith was excellent. The routes the receivers ran was excellent. The touchdown to Baker, and the two long passes to Coles were plays we would NEVER see under Hern, ever. The scheme of the play of the first touchdown to Cotchery was brilliant. Expect to see that play in the red zone again. Really could not be more impressed with the scheme and the play calling. Yes, it is only one game, but the difference between what we saw today and what we saw the last five years was incredible.

I loved the passing game but we need a lot of improvement in running the ball.

Big difference from last year. We have our leader back in Chad.I liked the playcalling all except the opening drivr which resembeled a Hackett offense.

I thought Schotty did great from start to finish. The run game will come in time, at least our QB wasnt on his back all day. By game 7 or 8 the line should be a lot better run blocking. Until then, fasten your seatbelts!

nope, don't agree. barlow and/or Blaylock can get it done if the blocking is good. The run blocking was not good.

I like how he stuck with the run in the 4th quarter instead of going pass-happy.

I liked the play calling, however, there's a definitely need to change up the plays on first down. Seemed like we ran it on first EVERY time and the defense picked up on it, making it easier to stop. I would have liked to see a play action or straight up pass play.

Other than that minor gripe, I'd have to say it was a very were called game.

Yeah, I saw it the same way. The holes weren't opening up.

100% correct...barlow is a nice stop-gap guy, but either in the draft, free agency or trade, we need a workhouse back

To be such a young and inexperienced at calling plays, Shotty did a really good job.........

I especailly liked the hurry up offense they employed catching the Titans off guard and making them use a timeout. I also was impressed at the way the Jets were still attacking the Titans even when they were up by 16.

Coinicidentally, I turned over to the Cinn @ KC game and the first play I saw the chiefs run was a draw play.............HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved how he started out with Chad...Out-routes, curl routes and slant routes...Just precision/crisp plays that require a very accurate QB to deliver the ball...I was happy...

The 3rd and 1 fade to Cotchery was PERFECTLY placed by Chad. Enough air under it, and on Cotch's outside shoulder, right over the CB...

The 1st bomb to Coles, I was shocked...I saw the steps Coles had, and was just waiting for him to slow down to catch it...But he kept running!! A beautiful pass...Loved it.
