If we draft the QB in the 2nd along with D'Brick restructure, do you think the Jets will cut Sanchez and will be soon or after June 1st? I don't no squat about the guy but I would be so happy to get rid of Mex and have Garrard start and Smith back him up.

I'd be ok with this scenario; provided we didn't give up too much
to move up to the top of the second round to grab Geno Smith.

He's already counting enough money towards the cap just let him stick around and compete.:martin:

We can't draft a QB because it might damage Sanchez's psyche. Look how bad it was when we got Tebow. Rex will protect his boy by "suggesting"more defensive picks.

I'm all for Nacho sticking around, what if.......and its a big what if, he fits and works well within the WC system and is the best of the bunch of QBs we have.
It works in our favour. We get the 'best' QB out of what we have, which isn't saying much. But Sanchez also needs to prove he still has a place on an NFL roster, with us or not.
He stays, his stock goes up we get value for him. If not we cut him next year and free up cap room

Doing anything to draft Geno Smith would be a HUGE mistake IMHO.

the only QB I would trade up for is Geno. not Nassib or Barkley, and I hope we don't give up any picks, maybe exchange thirds or something.

I would much rather grab Eddie Lacy and get our QB next year.

Good chance Geno is still there anyway, so no way they move up to take him.
I think Barkley goes before him.

I'm with you on this, I think smith is better than dirty day one. I hope we keep our third rounder and he falls to us but if not it's worth it to get rid of gq
    Boy.

keep him to see how he does in the WC offense? really?

you want to see how a guy whose 2 biggest flaws are short accuracy and quick decision make fares in an offense that is predicated on short precision passing and quickly disecting the defense?

its the worst possible fit for the leagues worst starting player

    This, so much this.

I'd rather they improve the backfield than draft a QB.
