I don't think they'll cut him. I think he'll make the final roster by the skin of his teeth. McDaniels will push to give him time, and see if they can actually make a (serviceable backup) QB out of him.
I still believe the guy can be a successful player in this league if he gives up his dream of being a QB.
They'll keep him, and he'll get a TD against the Jets just because. That might be the only time he plays all year.
I think BB will cut him. Even though BB could probably design an excellent play for Tebow to score on the Jets, the monster aura that is Tebow can have a much more lasting and most devastating affect. "Te-bow, Te-bow, Te-bow" That's the sound of Brady's career coming to an end
He's just not good at anything. At best he's a bad QB. I can't see the Pats wasting a roster spot on someone without a clearly defined job/position.
I think BB had a good chat with Tebow before the signing. So BB knows what he's doing. There's no point in bring a guy like Tebow to the roster, bring all the possible circus and then cut him. They don't need to rush with him, Tebow has no other job offers.
Belichick will keep him around just so he can score a TD against us, then he will dispose of the choir boy.
not only that, but the bulk of his money is being paid by the jets! leave it to bellicheat to keep him around just for that reason alone......
A lot of the comments out of camp early indicate that part of his value is going to be running scout teams. Makes sense since he is mobile and that's the offense du jour in the NFL. If he can stay on as a 3rd QB, chip in here and there, and also provide some kind of Rudy-like value for practices, then he'll have a job here. Especially since they need to do some image repair in the wake of Hernandez's situation.
With the talent on the team, it just didn't make sense to keep a project like him around and take up a roster spot. I kind of figured he was gonna be out when they brought in a couple of prospective practice squad QBs for tryouts this week. I hope he has success as he moves on to his next endeavors. Time for him to move on to his parents vocation, missionary work etc.... Bottom line is I think he is a genuinely decent person. You never hear any teammates talk about him in anything other than positive quotes (Except for maybe his passing ability, LOL). Lots of the things he is ridiculed for were traits that were admired when I was growing up (Remember Roger Staubach). It's a shame that because of a stupid group of misguided Tebow-ites, he is disliked more than he ever deserved to be by the general public.
