If rex ultimately makes the final decision who our starting QB is he's either going to make the right call and we have some success (keeps his job), he makes the wrong call we have a bad season (he's gone after the season and we no longer have to deal with his bullshit) or he makes the right call, but considering the talent we have we still suck/ are mediocre (he's gone . . . that's just how it goes).

    It's as simple as that.

We can speculate on how loyal and stubborn he is about sanchez and starting him, but I can't see him losing games and his job just because he drafted this guy back in the day. Since the cards game last year you can see rex was done with his blind faith in 6.

Are you telling me we beat the titans, chargers and bills last year starting mcelroy or tebow?

I just think it would be a bad PR move, if Idzik and Rex said flat out, "MM and David Lee's decision will more than likely be the choice on who starts opening day." NY Post the next day, "what does Rex do on the field?"

Rex doesn't have a clue about this offense, nor does Idzik to an extent - they both can't evaluate QBs like Lee and MM - are they really going to make Rex make the decision with hardly no knowledge of the offense?

I hope I'm right otherwise, it will be Rex's decision, more than likely he chooses someone he's comfortable with and he's potentially done the next off-season if it back-fires.

Idzik wants to win, does he not? Why would he allow Rex, a defensive expert who isn't too keen on offense, solely pick the QB? If anything MM's suggestion will weigh the heaviest. Otherwise, there's no reason to even be the GM of a football team because he clearly does not understand the people he's working with. His massive experience in personnel and management speaks otherwise, though. Idzik, based on his career, is vastly different from Tannebaum. He's not just a cap guy, even though it's part of the woManish doctrine.

I've heard too much from Rex to believe otherwise

The media compliments Genos arm and he has to throw a compliment to Mark in there

Geno has a couple off days, Rex jumps and names Sanchez the starter vs Detroit(which was expected)

Rex talks this guy up a ton and never really says much about Geno

Your loathing for Rex & MS is blinding. We get it, regardless if Idzik comes straight out and says "I, Alone, am announcing who starts at QB", you'll still ignorantly interpret it as "Rex is pulling the strings". Take the tin hat off and give your brain a rest.

That's not my fear, it's my nightmare. I might end up canceling Sunday Ticket if it happens.

And I'm getting games for a bit more than a dollar at this point.

Let Rex do what he does best on the defense. If he isn't watching the O during games I hope he doesn't make the decisions on who starts with the O.

    read between the lines

Sanchez is his guy, I understand that but Geno has no shot unless Rex gets handcuffed in the decision
