Sort of off topic, but this is a huge story if Folk misses the kick. But Folk makes the kick, and the story becomes Geno Geno Geno. The media reminds me of a terrible poker player, drastically over-valuing results and drastically under-valuing probabilities.
Going for two had at least a 50% chance of failure (I'd say our record under Rex is less than 50% actually). Chances are going for two and missing means Atlanta go for two after their td and we're driving for a tying FG, not a winning one.
Wanted to bump this, because the first paragraph sounds remarkably similar to what Rex said he wanted in the end of season presser. If I remember correctly it was something along the lines of he wanted the O to be aggressive and unpredictable like his D, and that he hadn't done a good job of getting this across in the past. So, although Marty clearly deserves the bulk of praise for the way it has been implemented, how much credit should Rex get?
Rex needs more than LB depth. He needs a starting OLB. We haven't had a competent OLB in years. I'm tired of having Pace/Washed up Jason Taylor/A one-dimesional Barnes/Out-of-position Coples as our LB corps in the past and the present. I want an every-down starting OLB.
