I thought it was because it is constantly having to compensate for the fact we don't have a decent QB on the roster and haven't the entire time Rex has been here?

The last 2 games haven't helped his thing case to stay as coach for next season.. Sucks, but that's the reality. Wake me up in 5 years when everything works out. It's going to be a LONG couple of years, fellas.

UK.....I totally dig your posts. You are an even keel fan.

The only problem I have with your posts lately is the inconsistency involving your critique of Rex. Rex gets all the credit for putting very good defenses on the field each year. That being said, he has never had anything better than an average offense on the field. He's actually had several anemic offenses. Last year and this years offenses have been horrendous. He's had 3 OC's. Most HC's never get the chance to try a bunch of OC's. He even said Sparano was his guy. Sparano was the worst OC I've EVER seen. Blame the line, the drafts, the QB play, whatever. If we say great job for the D, we have to be able to ask WTF when it comes to the offenses we keep parading onto the field.

Rex deserves a LOT of credit for the defenses, but as the HC, he deserves to be bashed for the putrid offenses.

He had success in '09-10, but went from 11-5 to 8-8 to 6-10, to wherever we end up this year (7-9??) You can't extend a coach on that. Just my opinion.

The Cult of Rex: He went to two championship games with Mark Sanchez! He's really only had one bad season! He's a defensive genius. Last time I checked offense is part of the game too.

A successful head coach cannot focus on only one side of the ball.
    This is Rex's Achilles Heel.

I know - I am a big fan of Rex's and so my posts are biased - in an ideal world he would be our DC and we would have a more balanced HC or even one leaning towards the offense - but if its a choice between HC rex or no rex at all I would rather take HC rex even with all that entails - I would just like to see what would happen with the Jets if we had a half decent QB for one season - just give him that chance and then if it still doesn't work then fair enough, show him the door, but I just feel he hasn't been given a proper chance in his time here and I would hate to see him go out like this - with a #32 ranked QB because literally no-one could succeed with that.

By starting Geno, he is tanking the season. The same thing like last year. Fire Rex Now! This is as good as it gets. He has no courage to make the tough choices. Not an NFL head coach!

I get bored of posting the same response - I wish there was some sort of auto-complete but here goes:

"please can you point to the NFL ready and NFL quality QB that the Jets have on their roster (or have ever had in the last 5 seasons) that you think that Rex should have played instead of the proposed starter?"
