I think this would be a very good idea, the guy is an absolute HOG and he can clog the holes in which Willis will destroy if they are there for him, this is no time to play games with DRob, he cant do it so put some1 in that can, Ball. Do you agree?:buffaloblows:
260-270 pounds is extremely undersized to play in a 3-4. Ball is best suited in a rotation, which he is in, giving rests to the starters, etc... If Ball plays 25 snaps in a game, he will get overpowered most of the time, and couldn't hold up playing that many snaps. It shouldn't even be a question much less a debate...Ball is a backup.
I have managed to miss Ball playing NT somehow, from what I've seen Rashad Moore has been the best NT we have. I pray every night that Robertson doesn't start at NT anymore.
Yeh I am one that wants and really wanted D-Rob to succeed but I just do not see it happening, he is looking very out of position and will soon me gone from the Jets
I would be in favor of rotating Kimo and Ball at DE and Robertson and Moore at NT. Preferably Ball and Robertson in passing situations and Kimo and Moore on running downs.
First off whoever said Ball weighs 260 is off, he is about 280. Ball, I believe is actually pretty good as a 3-4 DE and also as a 4-3 DE. I believe that he may have what it takes to replace Kimo in a few years. I think the guy who started this thread was thinking about Rashad Moore. I believe that we should, in fact, start Moore at NT against Buffalo. If it were me, I'd be playing 4-3 against Buffalo with Ellis starting at one End spot and Ball and Thomas rotating at the other, Moore at NT, and Kimo Robertson Mosley, Rotating in at DT and NT.
I guess I thought Ball was bigger then that. I know that Moore has been being used as NT, and whoever it is I think they should use a bigger more effective NT this week, basically what im saying is this week they shouldnt mess around because Drob was a high 1st round pick so we NEED to start him, I dont want any of that. Start the big guy Moore and sit Robertson. Also, tell me more about Mosley
i like dave ball...the few times he gets in he usually makes a play...i'm not sure about starting, but he should definatly be in there some, maybe on 1st downs
