Is for us to beat the Dolphins week 17 and ruin their season.

Could care less about the Browns game.

My three Jets wishes for the rest of this season-
No major injuries to good players
    Knock Miami out of playoffs
Santonio Holmes deactivated for final two games

Completely on board with your Holmes comment. We actually play better without that loser.

There is no reason to play him. He is arguably the worst teammate in the league. The Jets don't have to trot him out there based on that "we are still in the hunt and need to use our best players" excuse.
With the Jets eliminated, they need not play him. I say let Salas start to see if he is worth bringing back. There is nothing to be gained by playing Holmes.

As much as I hate the Dolphins, at this point, I'd rather the Jets just lose out to get better draft position. That will help the team more than a win over the Dolphins and/or Browns would.

Let's return the favor from 2011 and kill the Dolphins playoff hopes.

Gotta want to beat Miami if it means wrecking their season. Also, a shitty effort in these last two games could be the final nails in the Rex Ryan coffin. If you are a Ryan backer, you are going to want the Jets to finish 8-8.

Ryans future is already determined either way IMO. I'd be shocked if these last two meaningless games have any bearing.

One would think tend to think that way, but the final two games did not become "meaningless" until tonight. Also, the owner is goofy and the GM is silent.

If the decision was made to bring Ryan back for year 6, than it must have been made in October. Why not give the extension to Ryan then? If the decision was made to fire him weeks ago, then that would have been nuts because the Jets were alive in the playoff race.

I think Ryan is in trouble if the Browns win and the Dolphins get a playoff berth by beating the Jets.

Loser mentality. Knocking a divisional rival out of the playoffs to end the season is ALWAYS better than moving up 1-2 spots in the draft

If the Ravens win, what does that mean for the dolphins? I know they were tied and the Ravens had the tiebreaker

If the Ravens win and the Chargers lose, the Ravens clinch the 6th spot, I believe.

Personally I want it to be the Jets to throw the Fins out of the playoffs, so I'm hoping for a Ravens loss... maybe I shouldn't hope for this, though, because we could definitely lose to the Dolphins.
