This guy always steps up when called upon. He might be the heir apparent to Curtis

For the few plays he was on the field for, he impressed me. Quick strike for the TD right up the gut :)

I only saw the second half, but his carries and the sneak by Pennington were the best runs I saw (excluding the play by Washington on the "shuttlepass" that was called back).

I think Houston needs to get more PT and I've been saying that for a while.

He should be playing more, period. Him and Washington should take the majority of the snaps.

When your O-line is having problems pushing the pile, you need a guy who won't go down on hand tackles. That's why I like Electric Cedric.

I need to see more, but he was very good from what I hear of his 2 carries. I need to see him have more than 2 nice carries before I proclaim him a star though.

Perhaps those two carries got Houston out of the doghouse, and he'll see more time against Indy.

They were good carries, but the blocks were incredible on those plays. To Houston's credit, he used them well and got us a TD.

Maybe we can give him a chance...

I want Houston getting the ball more. I don't care if he can't handle blitz pickups on passing downs, put him into the occasional pass pattern and let him run the rest of the time.

He knows how to run the ball when there's a small hole and that'll lead to more confidence for the line and allow them to create bigger holes.

I don't have a problem with Barlow and Houston splitting the carries since neither one is probably truly an NFL starter. I do have a problem with Blaylock getting more than the occasional 3rd down look.

While I expect two losses in the next two games, I can actually see us sitting at 4-4 at the bye. Much more than I expected out of this year.

I like this idea because these two back compliment eachother. Houston = Power back who breaks arm tackles. Washinton = speed back who can get the corner.

why was he in the doghouse in the first place? because he fumbled in the pre-season?

the guy always falls foward and actually hits defenders before they hit him. he and Washington were difference-makers in this game against an aggressive Buffalo Defense.

    cheers

To be fair, Barlow could only dream of the kind of blocking that Houston got on his two runs.

Houston absolutely ran over a defender for his TD. I remain firmly convinced that the Houston-Washington tandem is better than any other combo we could put on the field. It sure was nice to see Blaylock inactive.... Mangini sometimes seems to be a slow learner.

Eh, Houston is okay. We need to draft an RB next year in the first round. Mark it down now, our first pick is a running back.

I want one of the Cedric fans to tell me what exactly impresses them so much. He is not that good. Great blocks on two plays, and people think he's a super-star? Please.

Yes, the TD showed some toughness, but he cannot do that consistently. Barlow is far better than Houston or Washington, but Washington has shown he is a good receiving threat out of the backfield.

Houston has shown me nothing special yet.
