Our running game looks alive with Houston and Barlow and Washington.

Have the system back take care of his 4 kids and on the inactive list, we play SO much better without him.

Washington was great today. And Houston was great for the few plays he came in.

washington is fast, when hes in the open field its obvious that the first man will not tackle him. I like this kid. Maybe blaylock can long snap or something.

Yea Neon Leon Washington looked like a star today. We needed that huge run after the catch setting up the barlow td. While I know he probably isnt the answer right now at rb, i think we need to see more of him in the middle of the game and he could really develop over time into a solid combo back with houston or barlow.

Im sick of Blaylock. Hes in his 2nd year here, and yet I still havent seen anything out of him to convince me hes worth a roster spot. I cant say Im all too enamored with Barlow either. Nothing more than an average runner. On the other hand, our younger guys are really tearing it up. Washington has shown his speed to us and proved that hes capable of ripping off some tremendous plays, and Houston has provided us with some nice power running his two years here. Id like to see the CS platoon between the two...they complement each other exquisitely and together could form quite the competent backfield, IMO

It was great to see that the coach listened to us and demoted Blaylock ;)

    Houston and Washington looked good.

Barlow has not been perfect, but if you look at his past, he's got a fantastic upside. And I read a quote from him... something like that he wished he was with the Jets for pre-season, so that he could have gotten used to the team. I just think he knows what he's capable of, and it's much more than what he's already shown. If he was immature before, he looks like he's maturing fast. Hopefully our o-line matures with him... fast. I have a feeling that's gonna happen.

Blaylock wasnt really demoted, he was given the game off due to his wife having their 4th child.

Or at least that was what I heard. Knowing Mangini, he'll have Blaylock in the game and Houston on the bench.

idk, Barlow has run tough so far, he has had little room to work with....i agree that blaylock should be our 4th rb

leon looks damn good, almost reggie bush like in the open field......and houston needs to get more carries, i like him alot

I think the reason why Mangini sounded so comfortable about giving Blaylock a day off the other day to see his new baby was because he knew that he wasn't going to play today. Mangini wanted to get a look at Houston, since Blaylock has looked like crap. Now that Houston has looked good, why would Mangini bench him? I don't think that's going to happen.

    really tearing it up!?!?

They both played pretty well today. Obviously, something we do not know about bothers the coaching staff about Houston

Washington showed moves today that really merit more of a role in this offense. I'd like to see him back on PR/KR's as well. He's faster than anyone the Jets have had in their backfield in decades.

Blaylock? Well if he does stay on the roster, I see diminished minutes definetly after today. Perhaps he gets one last chance to prove he belongs on the roster but only one more. I don't think Mangini would hamstring the running game by keeping Washington/Houston out and Blaylock in..

Heh. I suppose 10 yards isnt really tearing it up after all, is it?

I meant compared to Barlow and Blaylock, theyre doing a good job making the best of the opportunities theyve been given. Sheesh, happy now?

Washington is so fast on the cuts, there's just no answer for him. He's just too fast for the defenders to react! Hopefully, by the end of the season, he will have been a human highlight reel!

I believe the weak on special teams argument that Mangini has already made through various channels. If Blaylock is strong on special teams and Houston is not that might well be a deal-killer for Mangini.
