no simon or bob sanders. two of their starting o line still hvaent practised this week harper there safety is out there banged up big time. this kinda levels the playing a field a bit. if we can ever get a pass rush this week and run the ball we can pull the upset here
oops haprer there starting corner and the other corner is hurt also may not be able to play if so maybe only as 3rd cb this opens up our passing game if we can keep freeny off chad we will move the ball. thank god our oline is whole this week
Corey Simon if by far the most important guy they have out this week. If we can't run on an indy defense w/o Simon we have alot of work to do until we have a serviceable running game.
A little upate...... Reggie Wayne rejoined the team yesterday and went through drills. He will play Sunday unless something drastic changes between now and then. Sanders and Simon are both out. Sanders will be replaced by Doss, who had a great gave vs Jax, btw. Harper is probably out. However, Marlin Jackson has been cleared to play. Marlin is the teams #1 pick last year, and has not lived up to expectations yet. But he looked great in relief of Harper last week. Hayden practiced, and will be the nickel. All OG's practiced and are expected to play. Stokely will be a game-time decision, and has been running and practicing, but I doubt he'll play from what I've heard. However, that means the Colts will probably run a LOT of the two TE set. Clark goes out in the slot a lot from that set, and he does very well there. Nice to have enough weapons to be flexible! Dungy did say in his latest article on colts.com that they got a lot of guys back, and that helps a lot. Just FYI...... Great game! Good luck! NO INJURIES! Editing: Adam V. will probably be available at lest for FG's and PAT's, though the Flying Grammatica may KO.
I don't know what it's gonna take, but someone's gotta light a fire under Ellis's and D-Rob's asses! We cannot depend on Bryan Thomas alone to get us a win in this game!
Update: Stokley (ankle) missed practice Friday and is not expected to play this week against the Jets, ESPN's John Clayton reports.
ESPN: Colts Injuries INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, who missed last week's game with a groin injury, practiced Friday and could play against the New York Jets on Sunday. Vinatieri Vinatieri has not kicked in a game since he was injured in the second half of the Colts' win over the Houston Texans two weeks ago. He did not kick at all last week and did not dress for the Jaguars game. Colts coach Tony Dungy said Vinatieri kicked well Friday, and the team will see how he does Saturday before making a decision. "But he's pretty set on kicking. So we'll see what happens," Dungy said. The Colts said earlier this week they may keep kicker Martin Gramatica, who replaced Vinatieri against the Jaguars, on the roster a few more weeks as insurance. Dungy said Tuesday that Indy may use Gramatica on kickoffs to protect Vinatieri's injured leg. Wayne Also, wide receiver Reggie Wayne practiced for a second straight day Friday. Wayne flew to Louisiana on Sunday night after learning that his 32-year-old brother, Rashad, was killed in a traffic accident. He returned Thursday to practice and was expected to play in the road game against the Jets. "There's great guys on this team, so I'm just happy to be around them," Wayne said after Friday's full workout. "This is what I love to do. I love to play football. So as long as it's football, I'm happy. I'm ready to go." Meanwhile, cornerback Nick Harper (ankle, groin), safety Bob Sanders (thigh, knee), wide receiver Brandon Stokley (ankle) and defensive tackle Corey Simon (knee) were not expected to be available against the Jets. However, offensive guards Dylan Gandy (abdomen) and Ryan Lilja (knee), defensive tackle Darrell Reid (elbow) and cornerback Kelvin Hayden (groin) all practiced and might be able to play. Defensive end Josh Thomas (hip flexor) sat out Friday's workout but was expected to play. Offensive tackle Ryan Diem (thumb, groin) did not practice but was able to do some light running.
