Obviously we own 1-7 b/c im almost positive we dont owe any other teams our draft picks I am fairly certain that will get at least a low 1st round pick and maybe a third or so for J ABE, but thats speculation. How many picks do we actually own. What is our total? I feel like well have at least 10 picks in this years draft, that would really help the rebuilding process. Competesory picks? Picks from trades? Basically any that u dont automatically own by being a team in the NFL?
As far as I know, no team has a final number, as the additional awarded picks have not been announced, as of yet. At least, I have yet to see a list
So far, we own 1-7 for ourselves, except the sixth pick which we traded for Pete Hunter. However, we have the Lions sixth round pick for Jon McGraw. We have the KC fourth rounder for Herman Edwards. More picks coming with Abes trade and Comp picks being disbursed.
so at the very least we own at the minimum 10 picks? if we can parlay that into 4 productive starters, i would be ecstatic
After the Abraham trade, and compensation picks, we could own over 12. Right now we own 9 or 10, I think.
As far as I know Dallas has our pick for Hunter. That trade was not contingent on Hunter making the team. So far the Jets have their own 1-5 and 7. Plus the 4th for Edwards. Plus the 7th for McGraw (I believe it was a 7th, but might be a 6th). So that is 8 so far, plus the comp picks. Since the Jets lost Becht, Fergie, Jordan, and McKenzie, and most signed big contracts and had a fair amount of playing time, I think they will be awarded 3-4 picks. So at the end of the day we should end up with 11-12 picks plus anything we get from Abe.
