I'm sure everyone remembers that quote from two weeks ago that an unnamed offense player said in reference to Chad.

Now, maybe I'm trying to fuel speculation as to who said it, but I seem to recall Mangini's post hire press conference. One of the strongest statements he made is a TEAM 1ST PHILOSOPHY.

Any idea who said it, and is that player still with the team?

Probably Fabini, knowing he was on his way out.

Well, I think you could make a case for this being true, regardless of who said it.

I really thought it was Kendall considering he's a pretty outspoken person, but I doubt he'd talk smack about a player on a team that he wants to stay with enough that he'll re-structure. So I dunno.

Whoever said what was said about Chad probably said it on a personal note relating to something none of us know about. At first I thought it was Cotchery because at the time there were rumors of the Jets trading for Rivers... but I gave up guessing because it's a puzzle with missing pieces.

Yeh who knows, regardless the statement is not far off, so maybe there is some guys looking at his contract and while they are busting there balls on the field they see him waving a towel. I like Chad but personally I could see a locker room divided a little over a 64 million dollar cheerleader, they obviuosly did not say it to get their name in the media so it shows they are somewhat keeping there feelings under wraps

It had to be Fabini considering him getting released and all and he knew it was gonna happen ahead of time.

It was Vinny! He's probably still pissed off about getting benched in 02.

I think it was Mawae, he seemed angry when he left and like he wanted to leave. Why would the Jets cut him if they didn't have to, they are already under the cap, could have something to do with a negative attitude.

Mawae would've definately let it be known that it was him that said that about Pennington, so I'm certain that it wasn't him.
