I concur. Furthermore, please do not sub Vick in and out during series like they did with Sanchez and Tebow.

No doubt. I think everyone wants that. But its easier said then done. If Geno comes out flying the WC might get 1 or 2 looks a game. If that. And thats all it deserves. By no means am I saying I want Vick doing the WC as often as B.Smith did it. Even though Sanchez was "Rex's guy" I think Rex probably sees more in Geno right now than he ever saw from the regular season Sanchez.

And I cant say that the Wildcat was a factor to the offense being subpar those years. The objective of those teams were to run-run-run-think about running-pass. B.Smith was just another RB to me. But it was a guaranteed 5 yards or so more times than not when he ran it. Atleast that's how I remember it.

It's time to retire the wildcat.

As an ND fan I am sure you can agree that your college football program is being run better than the Jets. Why did we hire MM? to field the idea of gadget plays to get touchdowns??? I have high hopes for Jets but why does a HC even continue to entertain such nonsense. I think Vick is a very good player but Rex should just proclaim Geno the starter already and end potentially divisive team situation.

Well te fact that Vick is spending time in practice running the wildcat it should make it pretty obvious that Geno will be the starter.

And even though I don't think Vick is good enough to be a starter anymore I think he's valuable enough to give us something more than the occasionally pep talk to Geno.

I just think wildcat is too obvious for NFL defenses and assigning a specific player to run it on occasion doesnt make it any better

I like having it in our back pocket if the offense is not great, which has been the case for a while. But I would hope the offense doesn't need it this year. I don't mind the Jets stressing they have it and what not if it forces other teams to take a look and plan for it. Make them spend some time on it and have it in the back of their heads. But again, hopefully we don't need it because our regular offense is explosive itself.

The "Tebow Package" would look something like this

1st down : Wow what a nice 20yard throw by Geno(Geno full of confidence)
1st down:((Here comes Vick to ruin everything) Vick scrambles for a loss of 6
2nd Down:((Where have I seen this movie?) Vick throws an incomplete pass
3rd down: (Geno scrambles back on the field looking sad and confused) Gets sacked and fumbles for a 16 yard loss
4th down: Ryan Quigleyss punt is blocked and ran back for a td

    the Tebow Package

The thing I hate about using two QB's in the wildcat is you're usually playing 10-on-11 since one of the QB's is basically a decoy. It hasn't been successful to any large degree since the Dolphins shocked the league with it in '08.

And yes it gets your starting QB out of rhythm, that was one of the things that drove me crazy about Sparano's use of it here. It always seemed like Tebow came on the field just as Sanchez completed a couple of passes.

I want to see both Vick and Smith on the field in a double barreled shotgun formation, each with a back behind him. Guaranteed to force a defensive timeout.
