Worrisome things, Kyle Wilson, Stephen Hill, OLine penalties. Thing that should worry me but I think the regular season will look better: DLine pass rush.
They played on the road against a team that went 11-5 last year and got the 3 seed in the playoffs to a 17-16 score at halftime. The team you are talking about back then was stacked with veteran talent and Sanchez was really the only young key guy that needed to get his footing. This team is stacked with young players that are still developing and they are already showing that they can hang with a legitimate football team when the starters face off. Our corner situation is a mess, that's a fact, but otherwise what do you possibly have to complain about. Geno looks light years ahead of where he was last year. Our safeties look good. D-Line is still good. Chris Johnson looks to be back in top notch form. And on top of all of that Decker didn't even play. This team is a legitimate playoff contender. You don't have to have a perfect squad to reach the top 6. Are they a Super Bowl contender? No, but nearly nobody in the entire AFC is a legitimate Super Bowl contender after the Broncos, and we saw what happened to them last year. Just relax a little bit man. This team is farther along right now then most of the Rex years and thats a good sign.
You have no clue what you just saw...don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you. On top of that this from the number 2 pre-season game...
That and he obviously hasn't watched the Jets in preseason for the last 5 years. This is the best by far the offense has looked in the preseason under Rex. The secondary is a mess, but I think they will figure it out, and it will help once Milliner comes back. My guess is they trade or sign someone else too. Safety's look great. D-Line looks solid, but are really just taking is easy right now. LB's look pretty good. Geno looks really good for a year 2 guy. WR's look better. Amaro is playing much better then he is practicing. CJ2k just had an awesome game. O-Line looks solid but needs a little more work. Overall I like what I see right now.
Why didn't you like AA at CB? Seemed to play solid tight coverage and AJ Green got away with a push-off
Unfortunately that's the problem, I've seen EVERY game for the last 46 years. Just like the Mets. But when they signed Alderson to run and Collins to manage the team I was done....until they're both gone. Same here. I have no desire to root for this team under Eugene, Woody, Idzik or Rex.
Pryor looked very good The CBs will get us killed The running game is awesome The penalties are going to hurt us badly in this ball control offense Boyd will be cut
I believe it was 14-3 with the opposing QB having a perfect rating and not having thrown an incompletion when the Bengals mercifully pulled there starters. The Jets starters then mounted a predictable comeback versus the Bengals second stringers. Not that the score of a preseason game means anything at all, but your analysis is misguided at best IMO.
According to Rex, Wilson was supposed to be helped up top on a double team. The double didn't show up, so Wilson had to chase as best as he could to try and catch him, which obviously wasn't fast enough and caused a TD. Wilson is pretty terrible but it's good to know that was just a breakdown in communication. That stuff will be ironed out before Week 1.
I call complete b.s. on you there. There is no way you gave up on the Mets when they replaced Minaya and Manuel with Alderson and Collins, respectively. Now, if you want to tell us that you gave up on Alderson and Collins last year or this year, then fine, that I can buy. Alderson was a guy with success before coming to the Mets and Collins was in the running for manager of the year in three different seasons before coming to the Mets. I like some of these people. "Yeah, I watched every Mets game for 46 years. I watched all the bums and shitty managers. Then the team signed Alderson and named Collins the big league manager and I instantly stopped watching."
I want to be invited to camp as an assistant cornerback's coach and stand on the sidelines and all I would do is scream turn your fucking head Wilson!
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000379182/Jets-vs-Bengals-preseason-highlights take a look on how nfl network is trying to hard to make a case for quarterback controversy and how they neglect the game itself and define it as "highlights".
Agree with part about Rex, not on the Defense. Rex is an idiot on Offense matters. He wants Boyd to make the team but Sims as way better. Our Defense will be lucky to be top 10 this year. Every starting QB will get 300 yards a game passing against us. The secondary sucks and we get no pressure on the QB. All those pick on the Defensive line and we can't even rattle a QB. Vick is a 55% QB who can run and Geno is a mistake ridden QB who is the worst starting QB in the NFL. Go ahead, name I worse starting QB, you can't. This year is going to be a BUST, and I hope we have a new GM, HC and starting QB next season. I predict we are 2-8 by the buy week and either Vick or Sims is the starting QB after the bye-week.
