I am very proud today to say that I am a Jets fan. I was there at the game, and was one of the last ones to leave the stadium. This one hurt bad to me, because I truly felt we were the better team today. No one ever thought we would win this game and by putting us at 9 1/2 point dogs it just showed no one has any faith in this team.

I was very proud of how the team played and the balls and trust in this team that Mangini showed (I felt we should have kicked the FG). But for the first time I would have to say in my long lifetime (23 years). I turned around and told my crew "We have a coach" someone similar to Bill Cowher and Andy Reid, someone who will be with this team for years to come. A coach who will drive us in the right direction.

    This Is Year One!

As mentioned in the pre-season this is a rebuilding team and no one ever expected this much success from them this quickly. Mangini had one year to get players that fit his scheme and they are doing a hell of a lot better than myself even expected. The fans at the stadium today and the players showed heart and showed that we can not be overlooked by ANYONE.

The Jets are for real folks, and this is just the beginning. THIS IS YEAR ONE!. Rebuilding usually takes 3 years to field a competitve team and Mangini did that in one year. Lets enjoy the ride and keep our expectations low. But just know this Mangini is a hell of a coach and will only improve with every game. The fact he kicked the onside kick just shows me that this team believes they can beat anyone and this coach will bring us to a special place.

I will leave you all with these words. I have no voice at all and my stadium seat broke into 3 pieces (not due to anger), and finally...

    THIS IS YEAR ONE!

Let's give Mangini his due. Sure, he made a few mistakes today (even veteran coaches make them), but in the end, he put his team in a position to win the game against one of the better teams in the NFL. You can't ask much more from the guy.

Something that has been overlooked is that Herm & Company left this team in total shambles. Mangini stepped into a very difficult situation and has made the most of it so far. In all fairness to Mangini, it will be a few years before the numerous gross errors of the previous regime no longer haunt this franchise.

Exactly, the Jets are rebuilding from a team that Herm tore apart. Very impressed with year one, just want everyone to remember this isnt gonna be something done over night. Rebuilding takes years.

Under Mangini, I really feel that we cut a year off. Chad can lead this team for the next year or two and then hand it over to Clemens. By then Mangini will have HIS personel and the Jets will be contenders. I was originally looking into 2009 for a solid push. Well not I think 2008 is a more realistic view thanks for Mangini.

I hope Chad is around a few more years than one or two...4 minimum or is that too much to ask for?

The good thing is he does not have a lot of wear. I was talking to my Uncle about this earlier today and Chad has been very unlucky with injuries.

Its about time his luck changes and we will see what we have in Chad 3-4 years max. Would love to see Chad lead us to a SB then have Clemmens take over.

    We will see.
