    bills beat lions, bears

    fish beat lions bears

jets lose to lions, bears (both at home too)

its all about timing, they didnt have to string these games together. but they have beaten teams that we consider to be part of our tough stretch. we couldn't even get one of them

I think at this point we all just hope we don't end up missing the playoffs and outside the top ten in the draft. There are no moral victories in professional sports, and ending the season 8-8 doesn't do anybody any good. Despite the fact that we have on paper the worst secondary in the league, besides SD, we've been in every game until the last two minutes.

Sorry Tom but this is the absolutely a ridiculous mentality that some of you have towards Rex.

    "Years of Rex's Failures"?
U mean being 1 win away from the SB twice?
or the Constant top rankings in Defense every year?

To put all this blame on Rex is asinine IMO and the fact that he's been handcuffed by Mgmt who refuses to get top talent on the O side.
and, until now, never had an decent OC or QBC (Latter was his fault).

Just not buying this Rex is the problem conviction...

Refuses to get top offensive talent? You don't think Rex is the one lobbying to draft defense first round every year since he's been here? So he can have more "toys" on d (and nothing on offense?)

The Rex Ryan apologists imply that he is the only head coach in the league who has no say in personnel matters.

The personnel was good when Ryan took over in 2009. It is worse now. He had a major say in making it worse.

While I didn't think it would be this bad, I really didn't see the Jets doing much better than 8-8 because we had a really soft schedule last year. With our hard schedule, I thought we might take a step back because the schedule is that much harder.

Get the **** out of here. I'm not a Rex apologist and I want him gone, but Rex is not the reason our roster is worse now than it was then. Tanny overloaded on overpriced aging veteran talent, and traded high draft picks for many of said talent. This leads to nobody being able to replace those players once they age.

Nothing to do with Rex- as this process started well before Rex was even here.

He almost got benched ( permanently ) for the Oakland game. What foes that tell you about impatience for young QBs?

Pretty sure after week 17 jets bills and Dolphins will be pretty close in the standings.

The Bills have the easiest remaining schedule in the AFC East.

Are you kidding? You think it is a coincidence that the jets under Rex draft defense #1 every year? Wilk, Coples, Rich, Milner and Pryor all #1, and you think Rex is an innocent victim that had nothing to do with that? Sorry, can't buy it. If you have any doubts about Rex's clout during draft week, look at McDougle in the 3rd round of 2014 . I watched a news conference when Rex was gushing over what a steal he was in the 3rd round. Truth be told, the guy hardly played his senior year because of injury and many teams didn't even have him ON their draft board. Rex lobbies HARD for defense every draft day, has gotten what he wanted and THAT is why the offense stinks under him. Elections have consequences--so do years of drafting on one side of the ball, and then playing #1 picks like Coples in foreign positions. Sorry, I just want the jets to be competitive and Rex has had plenty of time, and, if anything, they are getting much worse--He is out of excuses and hopefully soon out of time.

Rex is not a head coach. That's reason 1 he should not be head coach of the Jets.

omg people.. is this gonna be a thread where everybody just keeps saying "we suck" over and over? We don't even suck...that's the funny thing about it. We were victims of a brutallllllllll schedule and some very unfortunate situations (injuries too). Of course we had some bad play at times but what team doesn't? We lost the last two games but they were close, Geno played really well, rex coached really good games. Look at what the Patriots did to teams weeks prior to that game.. the 9ers were just disrespected by the same team that didn't even look like themselves against us. We all know our season is over but lets just see what we got, if we play up to the level we just played at these last two games we'll beat the a lot of these teams left on the schedule. We also just got Percy so now Geno should be able to work with 3 legit WR's and Jace which is turning into one of his favorite targets. Lets watch our young guys improve and see what we have going into next year.

I like your optimism and much of what you say makes good sense, but I think the jets need a new coach taking a fresh look next year. My opinion only.
